I will keep Kaiba a brunette considering he's dominate brunette over that weird green hair of his. It will flow better once we get into Season 1 :)

Hope you enjoy!

About three weeks had passed sense the whole Burger World ordeal. Needless to say, Joey couldn't drop the fact that I had never tried hamburgers. Yugi finally remembered, again, that I was a princess and didn't get to try certain things back from where I had originated. It was nice Yugi treated me like any other kid he'd meet in school or on the street. It made me feel human.

However, I had yet to see Yami again. I was sure when I asked Yugi to stay with me that night, Yami would of taken over. I was hoping he wasn't mad at me for keeping secrets... as Joey said, friends don't keep secrets. In all honesty, I wanted to be treated like every other normal person. I was going to tell him, just not so soon. But, I'd have to explain everything next time I saw him. As for keeping secrets from everyone else, it was for my own safety, and Yugi could definitely back me up for it.

It was lunch break as we were sitting in class, playing the first version of Duel Monsters. The game was ancient, beyond everyone's knowledge, and was beginning to make a comeback after six years from it was first released in the modern times. If the trend held up, the second version of the card game would spring up within a year or so. That was my personal favorite, the second version: It just had a lot more strategy to it and made it so much more interesting.

Yugi had learned to play both versions of the game growing up, considering Grandpa was a serious Duel Monsters competitor and fanatic. However, Yugi was much better at the second version of the game than the first version. He had gotten into it after Grandpa had challenged me to a friendly game for old time's sake. Of course Yugi, being the kid he was, wanted to play and challenged me... he didn't win. The thing I loved about Yugi though, is that he was a good loser, never taking a loss to heart. He had replied with, "It's just a game, you're supposed to have fun whether you win or lose in the end."

Yugi was in the midst of explaining to Joey and Téa how Duel Monsters worked. Joey was interested but the look on his face read confused. Téa honestly didn't seem too interested. I had grown up with the game, so I knew all the ends and outs. I also kept track of all the cards. Yugi was actually surprised that I had my own deck, but it was meant for the second version.

Tristan then appeared out of the blue wearing a sash saying 'Beautification week', starting a squabble with Joey as usual. "What's with the get up?" Téa asked before the skirmish got too far. "That's what I was wondering," I added boredly, watching the four of them from my desk with my head in my hand, leaning on the desk. "This? These cards are popular right now, right? With such a collection item there will be those who obtain rare cards through unjust means," Tristan explained. "That's a understatement," I replied, catching everyone's attention. I didn't even bring up the fact that Tristan didn't reply to why he was wearing that sash... I did not want to listen to why he was such a dedicated beautification member.

"Really? Over cards like these?" Téa asked, a bit surprised. "Of course," I replied with a smile, "There are super rare cards that some fanatics would die for, just to get their hands on them." "And you're an expert?" Joey gave me a playful flat look. "I sure am," I smirked, "I haven't been defeated yet after eleven years." Pure shock crossed their faces as I just winked. Yugi just smiled, already knowing this, "Yep, Chloe's hard to beat. Not even my Grandpa, who's a fanatic, can beat her."

"That's it!" Tristan snapped, "I, as a part of Beautification week, will prevent illegal cards!" Yugi and I just sweat dropped. "That's not really a 'beautification' person's job is it?" Joey asked. I spoke too soon as Tristan smirked, "A beautification member doesn't just clean the dirty..." "You don't hear something like that every day," I mumbled as Yugi and Téa nodded agreeing with me. "The first step is to prevent garbage!" Tristan began to rant. I noticed the teacher walk in as I turned to the front ignoring the rest of his passionate speech. However, Tristan didn't notice this. Once he did everyone was staring at him as he quickly took his seat.
