Within the next month, we hadn't run into any trouble. Nor had I seen Yami again sense that night he had made his move... not that I thought much on it. Apparently, he was jealous of Yugi. The weather had gotten hotter and, to my greatest pleasure, we got to change into our summer uniforms. I still wasn't pleased with the skirt, but I took what I could get. Yugi had informed me that we had a week of vacation before the last few weeks of school, and we were trying to figure out what to do besides chores.

Classes had ended for the day, as Yugi had caught our group of friend's attention with his frantic tone, "Did you see the newspaper this morning?" This was a common topic amongst the group, as we kept up with anything that was labeled with trouble so we would know to stay clear of it. "What is it, Yugi?" Téa asked as she turned to us after closing up her school bag. Tristan hadn't seemed too interested as his head was down on his desk, but he asked anyway, "Could it be those serial bombing incidents?" Yugi nodded turning back down to the paper, as I came up beside him, leaning over a bit to read with him. "This is the third time," Yugi replied, not noticing me, "This time he gave a quiz to guess where the bomb was."

"Quiz? What kind?" Téa asked, coming up between Joey and Yugi's desk. "They don't give much details about it," I replied, reading the paper, "Such a horrid crime." Yugi jumped a bit at my 'sudden' closeness. "You both really like stuff like this don't you?" Joey asked out of the blue. I gave Joey a flat look as the others made it out of the room, "Get real. Why would Yugi or I like dangerous crimes such as these. I'll have you know my father is very political. I like to imagine what I'd do to the villain if he were caught. I'd show him no mercy." "Yeah, you and your wrath," Joey waved off, joining the others... wherever they vanished to.

Yugi suddenly snapped me out of my thoughts as he let out a delighted noise. I straightened up, jumping a bit, as I turned my attention back to my best friend. "What is it, Yugi?" "Domino Amusement Park's summer pool is open," Yugi smiled excitedly, "It also has water slides!" I blinked, before smiling sheepishly, "I've never been to an amusement park before." Yugi seemed to brighten up even more, "Well, break starts tomorrow, why don't we go?" "Really?" I asked. He nodded, "It seems it opens at ten tomorrow morning."

I was so excited! I had never been to an amusement park before. Being a princess, one doesn't get to lead a normal life and do normal things a normal teenager would do. As much as I missed home, I considered myself very lucky.

"What about the others?" I asked a bit curious. Yugi hesitated before avoiding his gaze, "I was actually thinking... maybe... it- it could be just the two of us?" Yugi's face was flushed a bit. Was he asking me on a date? A normal date was between two people who did things they like together, right? I thought about it. It would be nice for once if I didn't have to keep up with Joey, wouldn't have to listen to Tristan go on about Miho and cleaning, or Miho talking about herself, or Téa sending me those stares she still gave me when I was close to Yugi. I smiled, "Alrighty then. It's a date!" I swear Yugi could have fainted then and there.

Little had I known that our friends would literally be tagging along behind us. Tristan and Miho on their own 'date' and Joey and Téa due to their own reasons.

The next day, I got up at my regular time, getting ready at a slower pace than normal. I drew a bath as I soaked for a good hour or so, dried off, got dressed, brushed my teeth, then went downstairs to start breakfast. I decided to make blueberry pancakes from scratch, considering I had the time. Once made, Grandpa had emerged for the day, delighted by the smell of pancakes, as I poured him a cup of coffee.

After I had finished my breakfast, I washed my plate and started on mine and Yugi's chores for the day. Grandpa had agreed on Yugi and I getting out of the house, but chores had to be done first; that was the deal. However, Yugi seemed to still be asleep, so I took over his part of the chores. Grandpa insisted I wake Yugi, but I owed Yugi for when he took over mine for when I wasn't feeling well. With that, Grandpa went to go tidy up the shop before he would open.
