"And then, he said that he understood and he wasn't mad! Plus he promised not to tell anyone and that I was safe with him! He's a real best friend! I can't wait for you to meet him, Cleo!" I was sitting before the shattering and melting golden ice. The ice had begun to melt and chip away with each passing day. And it was heading toward Cleo! She'd be out of the ice in no time! Though the place was still dark, the ice was still illuminating all within it. Cleo still looked like she was sleeping peacefully as ever.

"I can't wait to meet you, Cleo... We'll be best friends too."

My vision suddenly began to fade as I realized I was waking up. I let out a heavy yawn, before blinking my eyes open. Everything was silent. The wind blew softly outside the window as the house remained calm. I yawned once more before stretching, sitting up, and getting out of bed to head to the bathroom. I stretched again before turning on the shower, stripping down, and hopping under the hot water. I washed up at a steady pace before stepping out and drying myself off. I then brushed my teeth, blow dried my hair, and other requirements to check off on my morning routine list. Before long, I was dressed and ready for school.

After adjusting my ribbon in my hair, I walked out of my room and over to Yugi's closed door. I knocked, then waited for a reply. Once I got none, I cracked the door open to find, as usual, Yugi still asleep. I giggled to myself before I walked into his room and over to his side. I shook him lightly, "Yugi, it's time to wake up. Breakfast will be ready soon." Yugi woke up rather quickly, but was still pretty groggy, "Ok, Chloe, I'll be down after I get ready." I just smiled as he snuggled back into his blankets. Once Yugi was usual woken up, he'd lay in bed for just a few minutes more before getting ready for school... the only thing that remained constant about his morning routines.

I leisurely walked out of his room, closing the door, and headed down to the kitchen to get our meals ready for the day. The first thing to do was to brew Grandpa's coffee. Second was to make mine and Yugi's lunches. I decided on simply bento lunches today. Steamed rice, yakitori and teriyaki chicken, cooked snow peas, a few grape tomatoes, and a few strawberries for me. Once our lunches were made, I started on our breakfast. I stuck to the classics of scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns.

The moment I had finished cooking breakfast, Yugi had sprinted down the stairs and into the kitchen, "Good morning!" "Ah, good morning!" Grandpa replied, "You seem to be in good spirits." It was true, Yugi had been more upbeat lately. Mainly because he had found out about my magical powers. He was happy I had shared something so important with him. I didn't know if it was because he really was happy about me telling him or if it was because he didn't want me to feel guilty for me not telling him sooner... I honestly thought it could of had to do with a bit of both. I set breakfast on the table before I refilled Grandpa's cup of coffee.

We all chatted a bit while we ate. After, I washed dishes as Yugi got our bags together. Once ready to go, we set off to school. "Breakfast was amazing, Chloe! Thanks! It only makes me wonder what you packed for our lunches today," Yugi smiled. I face palmed, "Our lunches!" We stopped as Yugi gave me a confused look. "I left our lunches back at the house. I'll go and get them real quick and I'll meet you at school, Yugi," I replied, heading back towards the house. "I'll come with you, Chloe," Yugi suggested. "No, you'll be late. Your attendance matters, mine doesn't. I'll meet up with you in class. Promise," I gave Yugi my own smile before he shyly agreed.

I ran back towards the house. I was almost there. But before I continued running, a limo pulled up beside me. But not just any limo. Seto's personal limo.

~Yugi's POV~

I had gone onto class as Chloe suggested. I know she didn't much care for her attendance record, considering being a student for her was tricking the public eye. It was still hard for me to believe Chloe was actually a princess. She acted exactly like a regular student at Domino High. Except for the fact that she loathed the girl's uniform. I personally thought it looked cute on her.
