~Chloe's POV~

"Chloe... Chloe, my darling wake up," That voice... it wasn't my mother. It wasn't Yugi nor Yami... Wait- Am I dead?! The last thing I remember was falling off the roof of Death-T and... I gasped, shooting myself to sit up, "Yami?!"

However, I wasn't outside, nor was I on the roof of Death-T. I wasn't even in one of Seto's guest rooms. I happened to find myself back in my room in Yugi's house. But, how did I survive? I remembered falling to my death. I even remembered seeing a light... How was I still alive? I had clutched my hands, but winced once I did. Looking down, I found bloodied bandages wrapped around my palms. They honestly stung... So it wasn't a nightmare. It actually happened... thing is, I didn't exactly know what happened.

"Chloe?!" Yugi's voice called from the stairs. I could hear his heavy feet climbing his way up the stairs and to my door. He didn't even knock, rushing in and to my side. "Thank goodness you're awake," He breathed a sigh of relief. He then noticed my hands, "You're bleeding! Hold on, I'll be right back." He seemed worried, but I was still very confused. How long had I been out? Though I was frustrated and confused I was actually quite hungry.

Yugi came back moments later with fresh bandage wraps and a wet rag, "Are you alright, Chloe?" He sat down on the edge of my bed and took one of my hands in his to clean and redress it. "I think I am," I replied, "But what happened? All I remember was slipping out of your hands and falling, then a light... that's it." Yugi seemed to be concentrated on my hand, but he seemed to also be debating something. "You don't remember anything?" Yugi asked without looking at me. I shook my head no. "Well..." He was debating about something, "I'm not sure if it's what I've recently gone through or not. But I think we should wait to see if it happens again." That didn't tell me anything.

However, it got me thinking. What had Yugi recently gone through? Was there something he wasn't telling me?... Then again, I hadn't told Yugi of Yami. That was the only secret I had left to tell him. But I hadn't seen Yami sense... well, the roof of Death-T. And it wasn't a time to exactly chit chat and catch up. But suddenly, this made me stop and think. Yugi knew what happened! Meaning, he must know something of Yami's existence.

"How long was I out, Yugi?" I asked. Yugi gave a small smile, taking my other hand, "Just yesterday evening and last night. I'm surprised Kaiba let us bring you home." "I'm guessing you beat Seto, right?" I asked, perking up my attitude. Yugi nodded, a full smile upon his face this time, "Yep! Kaiba wasn't too happy about it at first, but once we found out you were missing, he didn't much seem to care." "Well that's good," I breathed a sigh of relief, "Maybe he'll drop his grudge against you." Yugi just chuckled, "I hope so. I'd rather be friends than enemies." I just sweat dropped, "Don't get your hopes up. Trust me, mine have crashed and burned one too many times." We both just laughed as Yugi finished bandaging up my hands. "Are you hungry, Chloe? I can make you something if you like?" "Thanks, Yugi, I'd like that," I smiled.
