Chapter 26 : Is it really a Coincidence?

3rd POV

It was early in the morning ng magkaroon ng meeting si Clyde with the board members and president in each of their company. As the chairman of their company, Clyde holds one meeting in every week for updates, proposals, issues and concern of each board members.

"Chairman but how about the issue of your position and the girl?"

"You think it's an issue?" Clyde asked. "I think it's not dahil in the first place when I talked to her, she doesn't want the company. She just want to work in here. At ako lang ang makakpaag decide if where and what position will I give to her."

"But Chairman... Paano kapag nagkaroon ng problema ang company from her. I mean, she's a real Corodova..."

"It will never happen.." Clyde whisper to his secretary who is seating beside him.

His secretary distribute a xerox copy of a document.. "We already talk to their family lawyer and company lawyer as well.. Based from the last will of testament ni Mr. Cordova, their grandparent, that this whole Asia-Pacific group of companies is given to Mr. Steven Cordova. Let say Mr. Steven is not a real Cordova by blood but he's legally adapted with her sister Valeen which is nowhere to be found as of now. Also, in the testament, it is stated that Zander Santiago, which is the real Cordova, will just get an amount of 20 Million Pesos and the Cordova Properties based in Los Angeles, California."

"If there will be a change of chairman.. That decision will only be based from me and I know na buo naman ang tiwala niyo saken."

"Of course Mr. Clyde Cordova.."

When the meeting ended... Clyde straightly go to his office kasunod ang kanyang mga tauhan. He has many things to review lalo na't merong bagong hospital silang malapit ng matapos. But he wasn't expecting na madadatnan niya si Sophia inside.

"Sophia.."

Tumayo ito.. "Good Morning.. I'm sorry if ahhh.. I was here in this kind of early."

"It's ok.. Did I made you wait? I'm sorry. Kakatapos lang kasi ng meeting.. So why are you here?"

"Nabasa ko na yung document na pinadala mo saken about that will of testament.. Actually, that kind of amount and property... I don't know how will I handle it."

Clyde deeply sighed.. Mas mabuti na din na nadoon si Sophia because something is really bothering him. "Sohpia..." Clyde seated next to her. "I hope that you don't have any hard feelings for me and my family because in the first place we all not know about this. Kung hindi din dahil sayo, hindi namen ito malalaman."

"I'm sorry. Hindi ko intention ang guluhin ka or even your family.. It's just that yun ang gusto ni Mommy."

"By the way... Why don't we set up a lunch with your mom? It would be great If I could meet her.."

"She passed away long time ago. She suffered in colon cancer."

"I'm sorry to hear that.. I know it's really difficult to you to live by your own. Gladly you finished your studies. By the way, about your work and position in here... I'll put you as General Manager in Legal. I based it from you profession. Don't worry, I'll make sure that you'll be comfortable in that workplace. Dito din naman yun sa building na ito so if you have a problem you can easily talk to me about it."

Sophia looks around in his office. "Your office really looks good.. I wonder what's the feeling of being a chairman in this kind of big company."

Clyde didn't liked the tone of her voice.. There is something on it na parang may plano ito but then inisip niya that it was wrong to think of her like that. "Sophia.. I know that you're thinking na sayang, that supposedly you're the one who's seating in my position but then again, we don't about you before and the past. I just want to clear na sinusunod ko lang din naman ang kung ano ang nasa last will testament."
