"What are you guys doing?" the two Cookie sisters exclaimed at the same time.
"We... uh.." Kelsey started.
"We heard you screaming and came to see why?" I finished.
"Yeah!" Kelsey smiled. Taylor and Ruth nodded in agreement.
"Well we asked Payton if he knew what our bond was since well he's from Drogheda too... and he did." Eve explained. "He said were dolphins. We asked how he knew and he said that one day... about a month after you were born, there was a huge storm. Lord Ozzie was worried because his wife was out in the storm in a canoe. When the boat returned she had two girls with her. She had told him that a group of dolphins came to her boat with them and she had taken them in... raised them as her own.... We're adopted..." the two of them sighed.
"Oh", the rest of us said. We were at a loss for words.
The water from the river moved silently and then a dolphin came up to the surface. It did a flip in the air and landed back in the water without a huge splash.
"It's lovely." Taylor smiled.
"That's so cool." Kelsey and Ruth agreed.
"Wait... Can you two talk to it?" I asked. "Didn't Payton say that it was possible to communicate with your bond?"
The two sisters leaned of the river. The dolphin made clicking and whistling noises and amazingly the two of them replied in the same way.
"Wow." the rest of us said. We were at a loss for word again.
The dolphin began to swim away. Emma and Eve followed saying,
"Come on girls it wants to show us something!"
