Forty

Samantha’s P.O.V.

I couldn’t even move my legs. They hurt so badly. But Niall’s kiss seemed to almost cure the pain. His kisses are mysterious. I could now stand up but I the doctor didn’t let me do so. I had my breakfast in bed. After some time, Harry came to inform us that Elise woke up. Zoey and Jake weren’t informed yet, but I was sure that they would know it from the morning’s news.

The day passed very slowly. If only I could get out of my stupid bed. Arghh. But Niall accompanied me. I loved that. He even sang a few songs to keep me happy. It was evening now. Niall just finished singing I Would. ‘Hey, Zoey and Jake didn’t come today.’ I pointed out to him. He shrugged. ‘Maybe Zoey is still shy for what happened backstage yesterday, Jake must be thinking about his dream girl.’ ‘Maybe, maybe…’ I said. There as silence. ‘Lemme sing another song.’ Niall said, starting the tunes in his guitar. By the sound I guessed he was to sing Kiss You. So it was. He ended the song with a rightful kiss.

We kissed pretty passionately. Niall was entering his tongue into my mouth and I did the same. He held me tightly. I felt awkward with his tongue in mine. I never really kissed like this before. Not even with Louis. I could feel the pain of my leg permanently leaving me. Goosebumps erupted in my hands. But Niall wouldn’t let me go. He drew shapes with his fingers on my nape. I ruffled his hair.

Then Louis suddenly opened the door. He sort of shrieked, ‘MY EYES! MY INNOCENT LITTLE EYEEEEES!’. We parted. I saw that Niall’s face was red. There was an awkward moment of silence and then Louis grinned like nothing happened. ‘Never mind. So, Sam, how’re ya now?’ ‘I’m cured.’ I said, with a relief that he changed the subject. ‘If only the doctor let me…’ ‘Oh no, you might get hurt again, so I wont let you.’ Niall said even before I could finish my statement. Louis sighed sleepily. ‘The nurse is coming with your dinner in a few minutes,’ he said before leaving us. My goosebumps were still there. We sat in awkward silence, waiting for the nurse.

After the nurse came, I had my dinner and got ready for sleeping. I hadn’t even met Hannah and Elise yet. Niall said that he was going to sleep with me tonight in the same room. Before sleeping, he put his arms on me. His scent filled my lungs. He kissed me lightly on my forehead. I instantly fell asleep.
