Forty Five

After about an hour or two, we reached Knightwoods. ‘Wow.’ Louis said, while he got out of the bus. ‘I know right?’ Hannah said, coming down after him. ‘My fave spot.’ Elise said, following her. Then one by one we all got out. I put on my sunglasses. Elise wore a hat to cover the bruise in her forehead. ‘You keep it inside, boo.’ Zayn said, putting the hat away from Elise’s head. ‘You still look beautiful.’ Elise turned red. ‘Thanks,’ she mumbled and Zayn kissed her forehead lightly. Liam took his new action figure with him. I went next to Niall. ‘Do you like it?’ I asked. He joked, ‘Yeah, but I liked the café more.’ I laughed and tickled his nose. He held me tightly and spun me around. ‘Put me down!’ I said, laughing. ‘Oh, alright, but not before this,’ He said, giving me a final and hard spin. I felt silly. ‘Let’s sit there before it’s taken.’ Harry said, pointing to a shady clearing. We all ran there and sat down. I put my head in Niall’s lap. He started playing with my hair. Right now I felt like we were the happiest couple in the world. Harry was singing Little Things to Hannah. Zoey had just held Liam’s hands. Elise was having a piggy ride on Zayn’s back. It was all romantic. A tiny piece of my heart was feeling bad for Jake and Louis though. They talked within themselves. But Louis smiled for some reason. This made me happy.

Time passed. We didn’t do much, but we enjoyed every moment. I was lying my head down in Niall’s shoulder while he told me a story about Michael the imaginary friend. I laughed without really listening carefully. I was too busy being soaked into his dazzling eyes. They gleamed a lot. I considered myself to be the luckiest girl on earth, being able marry such an adorable boy.

We watched the sundown together. Niall held me tightly and kissed my forehead. Life couldn’t get any better than this. Louis and Jake had strolled into the deep part of the woods. Liam and Zoey were kissing. Hannah was taking a nap in Harry’s arms. Elise was lying flat on the ground with Zayn, looking at the heavens above. It was all so peaceful. After about an hour, Louis and Jake came, laughing. ‘You guys missed it. We saw the most peculiar thing seen in many days.’ Jake said, panting heavily. ‘What?’ I asked him. ‘Louis tell.’ He said. ‘Alright.’ Louis said. ‘We saw two guys kissing each other full on the mouth as if they were having….’ I cut him off. ‘Alright. Understood. But did it seriously look that amusing?’ I asked. Jake nodded. ‘Okay, never mind.’ I said. ‘It’s getting late.’ Harry said, ‘we should be leaving.’ ‘Yeahhh,’ Hannah said, sighing heavily. She was very sleepy.

We were back in the bus in a few minutes. I have to go home and pack my bags for tomorrow’s flight. Same with Hannah and Elise. Then I had an idea. ‘Zoey and Jake, will you guys join us and the boys? It will be fun.’ Their eyes gleamed with enthusiasm. ‘We can?’ Zoey asked. ‘Sure.’ Liam said, smiling. ‘But we need to ask mum first,’ Jake said. ‘I’m sure she’ll say yes.’ Harry said. They were excited throughout the whole journey back home. Me and Elise took a small doze in our boyfriend’s arms.
