Forty Three

Next morning, I woke up to the sound of someone talking in the phone. I listened carefully and recognized Louis’s voice. ‘… but she… no, you got me wrong. I still do love her but she’s taken by Niall and we agreed that we’ll be friends.’ Louis was saying. I understood that he was talking about me to that twin. ‘…but that doesn’t mean that I can’t love someone else too. Yes, but… Arghh.’ He furiously slammed the phone down. He remained silent for some time and then sighed heavily and went away. I got up and looked at where Louis was just standing. I could feel his pain.

I waited for somebody to come. Zayn came.  ‘Hey Sam. How’re ya feeling?’ he asked me. I shrugged. ‘Good.’ I said, ‘How’s Elise and Hannah?’ ‘Well, they’re almost fully cured. They can walk now. Will I call them here?’ He offered. I nodded. ‘That’d be great.’ I said. He went away.

He came back with the two after some time. I greeted them. ‘So I’ll leave you girls to it then,’ Zayn said, and left. ‘So,’ I said to Elise. ‘I’ve got a problem.’ ‘What Samantha?’ Hannah and Elise said at once. I told them what Jake told that day, Nora and Zora & Louis’s conversation. ‘…so I think that girl rejected Louis because of me. Louis is in an appalling state right now. He knows that he still likes me but he also knows that we can’t continue. Niall already proposed and I said yes. But Louis did like that girl too. But then I came as a barrier between them.’ I kept explaining. Elise thought for some time. ‘Sam, you should just let what’s happening happen. It might end well or maybe even tragically. We don’t know about that. But still, you have no idea about how many girls would give up everything to marry Louis freaking Tomlinson. He just needs to find someone who likes him and can accept it all positively. We should give him and Jake a treat to lift their moods up.’ Hannah and I nodded.

Then Niall came. He kissed me on the forehead and looked at my ring. ‘Hey, I wanna go out today.’ I pleaded him. ‘Along with the others.’ He thought for a sec and said, ‘How about we take a car ride? There must be a great place to wander around.’ I looked at the other two and nodded. ‘Awesome.’ Hannah commented. ‘Yeah.’ Elise said. Niall smiled. ‘Okey Dokey, I’m telling the others.’ He said happily and walked away. ‘I hope this is enough to lift him up.’ I said to the two.

The others had agreed. We were ready now. We called Zoey and Jake to meet us in front of the hospital. We had left the hospital permanently. I hope I won’t be seeing it’s face again. We didn’t have to wait much for Jake and Zoey to come. Zoey had brought a gift for Liam. Liam opened it shyly. His face gleamed with happiness when he saw the gift. He held it up to show what it was. It was a Limited Edition Batman action figure. He hugged Zoey really tightly.

Then we went to the tour bus of the boys. It was ginormous.  I sat in the middle of Louis and Niall. Zayn was driving. Elise was in the front with him. Liam, Zoey and Jake were behind us. At the back were Hannah and Harry. Then Zayn asked Elise for a great place to go to. She suggested the Knightwoods. I felt happy. Knightwoods was a great wood to spend the day.
