"Mommy! Let's go!" The little girl said as she ran towards her mother.
"Hai, hai. Let me grab my purse and we're good to go."
The little girl smiled and ran outside.
The sun was shining brightly. It was another beautiful day on the island.
Kids were outside, playing while their parents watched them.
The island was more beautiful than ever.
"Come on. Let's go." The mother said as she grabbed her daughter's hand.
The two of them walked down the street.
"Hey, mommy?" The girl asked as she started to jump around then stopped in front of her mother.
"Yes, honey?" The woman smiled at her. In her eyes, her daughter was an angel. She loved her more than anything in this world.
"What is a pirate?"
At that everything stopped. The laughter, everything. The woman knew this day would come.
"Well, let's see. A pirate is anyone who raises a Jolly Roger."
"Huh? Does that mean the kids from the playground are pirates too?"
The woman laughed at her daughter's statement.
"No, no, no. They are playing pirates. That's a totally different thing, honey."
The little girl was still confused. What are pirates then?
"Now let me think. A pirate is a person who has the most freedom in the world. Have you ever heard of the Pirate King?"
"Yes! I've heard about him!" The girl said with excitement.
"Good. Gold Roger was the only one who managed to conquer the Grand Line. That was something that no one managed to do. That's why he became the Pirate King."
"So he was the person with most freedom?"
Her mother smiled at her and nod. Her daughter was smart for her age,
"Oh! Atsuko! I've been looking for you!" An old woman waved at the mother and smiled, gesturing the two girls to come to her.
"Hai, Hideki-san?"
Atsuko moved closer to the old woman.
"I've heard some marines will come to this island in a few day."
"Don't they always?"
"This time, an admiral will show up."
Atsuko's eyes widen. Why would a marine admiral come on this island?
"It's rumored that they are searching for one of the Roger's crewmates." The old woman finished, leaving Atsuko shocked.
"So after all those years... Damn." Atsuko whispered.
