Chapter 23 - New Adventure

Just as everything started to become more aligned, out of the sudden, towards the ship, five ships with the same flag were sailing towards the Merry.

"Baroque Works!" Vivi exclaimed "That's the Billions' fleet!" She then continued.

"Fire Fist, Straw Hat Luffy and Princess! Don't think you can escape!" Someone yelled from one of the ships.

"Princess?!" Vivi made a few steps back.

"We'll show you the true power of the Baroque Works Billions!"

"Them again?" Luffy said as he leaned on the ships railing to get a closer look.

"Luffy." Ace called. "I'll clean them up." he said before jumping on his boat.

"What is he planning to do?" Nami asked as she and Usopp ran towards the railing to see Ace.

"With just that tiny boat..." Usopp mumbled.

Ace used his devil fruit power to ge the ship moving.

"Let's just sit back and see how good is this Whitebeard Pirates, Second Division Commander really is." Zoro said as he crossed his arms.

You rolled your eyes at his words. He said like Ace was no big deal.

"So you've come, Fire Fist Ace!"

"If you think you can get past our ships, go ahead and try!"

Ace smirked and then jumped from his ship in the air, did a flip and then used his devil fruit power to transform half his body into fire.

"He jumped!"

"FIRE! Drop him into the sea!"

You smiled as Ace's boat came out of the water and he landed safely on it. Everyone else were staring at Ace with their mouths open.

"HIKEN!" Ace yelled.

Every single ship got destroyed by Ace's fire, leaving nothing behind, just a few remains.

"WOW!"

"Wohoo!"

"This is great! Ace is our nakama!"

"Kanpai!"

You and Ace looked at the trio with amusement.

"Who said I'd be your nakama?" Ace asked annoyed.

The guys only ignored him and continued to drink.

"To delicious drinks..." Usopp said.

"Kanpai!"

"Don't worrie about them. This guys are always looking for a reason to kanpai."

Ace sighed and then looked at you. You smiled at him. Before he could say something to you Luffy turned towards Ace.

"Ace, are you really gonna be our nakama?" He asked while eating.

"I'm in pursuit of a man." Ace answered before he drank his beer. "He is known as Blackbeard." He then continued.

"Blackbeard?"

"The pirate that sacked the Kingdom of Drum?" Vivi asked.

You shifted a little bit, feeling a little discomfort as Teach's name was brought up into the discussion. You could never forget the blood, the dark look on his face after that night.

"He used to be a member of Whitebeard Pirates. Second Division." You said. Everyone looked at you as you explained the situation.

"My subordinate. Until he committed the greatest crime you can do on a pirate ship."
