Chapter 40 - World News

UMM 40?! I WRITE TOO MUCH. I BLAME ODA.

-3 days later-

The next day you woke up feeling really sick. The doctor warned you about the morning sickness but you never would've guessed it would kick in so soon.

You couldn't even lay in bed anymore. It felt like a boat on the ocean. But it felt worse if you stood up. So you decided to lay there to your death. (PERSONAL EXPERIENCE RIGHT HERE- wait not the pregnancy but I know how the nausea feels like cause of my car sickness XD) You didn't sign up for this.

As you were lying on the death bed,  a knock on your door was heard. The person didn't even wait for you to say come in, but you were relieved to see that it's only the doctor.

"How did you know?" You asked.

"I figured as much. Since it's already ten and you're still not out of bed." The doctor said as he was searching through his suitcase. "Aha!" The doctor exclaimed as he found the thing he was searching for.

Once you stood up, he gave you a pill. "What's this?" You asked.

"Vitamin. And here. Drink this." He said as he grabbed the cup he brought.

"What is this? Some kind of healing water?" You said as you examined the clear liquid.

"No, it's just a little bit of water and seventy percent lemon juice." He said after you started to drink.

You almost spit the drink out cause of the sour taste but it actually worked. The nausea was fading little by little.

"Oh this is great. I might just drink this every morning. Thanks doc." You said with a smile.

"You can just avoid morning sickness." He said as he sat down. "Just eat small whenever you eat and try lying only on your right side whenever you sleep."

You nod and stood up from your bed. Finally you could start the day.

"(Name), I know this is just your first weeks, but still, aren't you gonna tell anybody about this?" The doctor asked before leaving your room.

"I guess I will have to explain at one point why is a baby coming out of my vigina, right?" You joked.

The doctor chuckled and before leaving, he turned around, facing you. "(Name), I'm serious now. The sooner, the better." He said before closing the door.

It wasn't that you didn't wanted to tell anybody about this little fella. You just wanted Ace to find out first. You just hoped he would be back before you give birth.

You sighed and looked at your belly. It was just the middle of the second week, there's obviously nothing showing but inside, there was a human being, created by you and Ace. Your child.

"Just a heads-up, you have a very wierd family." You mumbled as you stroked your belly.

After all, this child is going to be the grandchild of the Pirate King himself. And that's when you realized, your father... What will your father say?  What will it happen if your father finds out? 

This wasn't anymore about family bonds, this was about what he is and what you are.

They tried to kill Ace when he was just a baby, will they do the same with your baby?
