C12~ It's All Just A Dream

Hopes POV

"Carl?" I ask looking at the back of a boy with that familiar hat on. We were in the woods. I had gone out on a run and was running from a walker, when I spotted the hat in front of me.

The boy who I assumed to be Carl turned around with blood covering his face and a knife in his chest. I screamed, for the boy wasn't Carl. It wasn't even a boy at all. It was a walker. I looked closer, it was Carl!
I started to cry, I pull my gun up to my eyes and aim it at his head. I'm soon blinded by my tears and I drop the gun,

"I can't, I just can't kill you," I close my eyes and wait for him to attack. I wait for a good minute before opening my eyes to see him staring at me, trying to grab me. I look to his feet and see he's been tied to a tree by his ankle. I undo the knot and hug him.
I feel his teeth sink into my shoulder and I let out an ear piercing scream and start to cry. I look over to my shoulder to see the boy I love eating my flesh.

"Carl?"

"AHHH," I woke up in a sweat. Tears rolling down my cheeks. I was having a bad dream. It was all just a dream. I wipe away the tears falling from my eyes and sit up from the couch. I was in Arron's house. I had dinner with him last night and he said I could stay there the night instead of walking all the way to the other side of town. I look around to try and find them. Oh yeah! I remember them telling me they were going on a recruit today. Apparently they've been watching a group for a while now and they think it's time to bring them in! I'm really excited to meet them all.

I walk out of their house and down the road, I spot Enid climbing over the back fence again. She's been going out of the fences for about a month now. She says she goes out there to "think about stuff" and I'll never know what she means by that.

"Hey! Hope! There you are, we've been looking for you all day. We were all going to go play some video games. Wanna come?" Ron asks, mentioning to Mikey and Liam behind him.

"Yeah...sure," I say. We all walk down the street and into Ron's house to play video games. The whole time I was thinking about breaking up with Ron. He's still the same old shitty boyfriend as before. Plus I'm pretty sure he has the hots for Enid. They'll be happy together.

*time skip*

It was the next morning. It's weird that Arron and Eric aren't back. They might've gotten killed, or maybe one of them is bitten. I hope they make it back okay.

I was walking down 'main street' I pass the empty houses that we hang out in and see Ron and Enid coming out. They must have been clearing their stuff out for the new people. Or Ron's cheating on me again.

They come down and start talking to me. "So Ron, I need to talk to you," I start to say with a blank look.

"Yeah, I know I'm sorry... Enid was helping me plan it!" He says all flustered.

"Wait what?" I ask my blank look turning to confusion.

"I know you were mad that we didn't throw you a party for your birthday, so Enid's been helping me plan a date for us," he says looking down to his shoes, obviously embarrassed.

"Oh," my confusion, turns into happiness. I guess I was wrong about him, "you don't have to do that!"

"Yeah, but a pretty girl deserves a date," he states becoming more confident, I start laughing. And not one of those cute girl laughs that makes the guy fall in love with her, more like one of those loud obnoxious donkey laughs that makes people say, "was that a dying cow?"

I was about to answer him, when I heard a familiar voice scream,

"Hope!"

A/N

That was the shortest chapter I've ever written...., it only had like 700 words, but I needed to update this chapter so I can update the next chapter. Which will also be pretty short... I'm sorry!!! 😁 love me.
