Chapter 98

I was getting married today!  I couldn't believe that in just a few hours I was going to be walking down the aisle and become Mrs. Luca Constanti.  The only thing more nerve racking than saying my vows in front of everyone was hoping that my dress still fit.  I had just tried it on last night and my nerves were frayed and I was pregnant for Pete's sake!  Natalie was the most amazing friend and Maid of Honor.  I couldn't believe what she had done to the outside.  She had a building brought in that was prefabricated, painted white like a barn, had faux wood flooring laid down, white tables set up and decorated to perfection; then she had white tents set up for the actual ceremony. We had chosen silver and red for our colors and she had done a magnificent job of designing everything.  She had personally made my bouquet which was red roses, white Gerber daisies with white and silver ribbons; it was huge taking up the entire front of me.  I was so glad that the weather had cooperated; the sun was peaking through some clouds and there was just a slight breeze.  The heaters helped keep the temperature comfortable.  My mom had given me her garter from when her and Luc were married for my 'something borrowed' and Luca's mom had given me a beautiful Daughter's ring with a huge sapphire for my 'something blue'.  I was surrounded with love and it took my breath away.

Natalie had a friend who was a makeup artist and she did a wonderful job with my face, keeping it natural tones because Luca liked it that way, a little extra blush so I wouldn't looked washed out and a pale pink shimmering lip gloss.  They did my hair in big beautiful curls and pulled the sides up and pinned them in with my veil; once this was done I slipped out of my robe and put on my white satin corset, matching panties and the sheerest of thigh high stockings which were attached to garters.  She shivered at the thought of Luca and her tonight; with Natalie on one side and Arabella on the other side holding my arms my mom held me stand into my wedding dress bringing it up zipping and buttoning up the back and last but not least was my shoes.  All three ladies stepped back in awe.  "Arienne" my mom said starting to tear up.  "You are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen!"  She leaned in and kissed me on my cheek.  Arabella and Natalie would soon join in.  Natalie clapped her hands and said "now...who's ready to get married?"

I met Luc at the back door.  He looked so handsome in his tux.  He took my hand, turned and said to me "I am so proud of the woman you are Arienne and I could not ask for a better daughter.  I don't look at this day as I am losing a daughter but that I'm gaining a son."  He leaned over and kissed my cheek.  Tears were already threatening to start.  "Ready" he asked.  I nodded.  I heard the wedding march begin and we made our way down the aisle and as everyone stood I caught a glimpse of the most beautiful man I'd ever seen.  It was like we were the only two people in the world at this minute.  I stopped and handed my mother a yellow rose, kissed her cheek and then moved over to Arabella and handed her a pink rose and kissed her cheek and Luc took me up to my soon to be husband.  The minister asked who gave this woman to this man and Luc said "her mother and I do" and put my hand in Luca's giving him a pat on the shoulder.  I gave my bouquet to Natalie and turned and faced Luca.

"I have been instructed that the couple have written their own vows.  So, Arienne if you would like to begin".  I let out a breath and began.  "Luca, you have been my one true love.  You have given me a love that fairy tales are made of.  I look forward to growing old with you.  Seeing our children's children.  I will always love you until the last breath leaves my body.  I am yours body, heart, mind and soul.  Everything that I am is yours.  Everything that I have is yours.  Today is the happiest day of my life and I love you."  Luca had tears running down his face and so did I; that's why they invented waterproof makeup!  Now Luca's turn.  "Arienne, you were such a surprise to me.  I had no idea that anyone like you existed out there.  That day at the cafe you captured my image but soon after that you captured my heart.  I promise to love you, take care of you and protect you with all that I am.  I give you my body, heart, mind and soul.  Even when we are apart your's is the only face I see.  Today you will be my wife...mine in every way and I love you."  The minister then said "the rings please."  Natalie and Paulo stepped up the our wedding bands.  I repeated after the minister and slipped Luca's band on his finger, bent down and kissed it tenderly.  He repeated after the minister and slipped my band on my finger and kissed it tenderly.  "Now by the state of New York and in the presence of all mighty God, friends and family, and I now pronounce you man and wife.  Sir...you may kiss your bride!"  Luca stepped forward, cupping my face in both his hands pulled me to his mouth and gave me the most sensual kiss and it held so much promise for later.  "I present Mr. & Mrs. Luca Constanti" and the place erupted when we finally stepped back from one another.  Natalie handed me my bouquet and we made our way down the aisle to the reception.
