Chapter 20

Scarlet pov

We walked in complete silence and every once in a while he would look at me but then turn away like I was a ghost to him.

"Cole are you ok you haven't talked in a while" he kept his head low and kept walking not even looking towards me.

"Don't ever go outside the borders again with out me. You have no idea how worried I was about you... I thought I lost you Rose Mary" he stayed looking at the ground and I felt me heart race. Sure he wanted to keep an eye on me and he was my mate but I never thought it be like this, to have someone really care for you as much as he did for me.

"Cole I'm really sorry I didn't know that would happen" he stopped walking and looked at me "It's fine just don't go any where else with out me" and he nuzzled my neck trying to comfort me but I really wasn't the one who need comforting it was him so I stopped him and nuzzled him instead. He started to wag his tail slow and steady but he was happy. After a few more minuets of walking we finally got back to the camp and everyone looked at us, I couldn't help but feel awkward around everyone just looking at us so I turned back human and went to the house.

I looked around and saw Luca and Rue were together siting down at the table.

"Hey guys" I walked into the room and sat down next to Rue

"Scarlet were did you go we were worried sick"

"Oh just the vampires place where they all hang out at" Both of them stared at me like I was nuts

"WHAT!"

"Yep I even meet Herrick The Bosses son" I got up from my seat and went to the cabinets and grabbed a mug and filled it up with coffee, creamer, and 2 ½ teaspoons of sugar.

"Wait how'd you find them" Luca said standing up with his eyes narrow

"More like I passed out and they dragged me to there place and experimented on me" I saw him from the edge of my cup with my eyes narrow like his

"Oh Scarlet I'm so sorry I knew they wanted to find you but I had no idea they wanted to do that to you" I slammed my cup down on the counter when Rue was down talking

"You WHAT!"

"I had no idea where the place was or else I would have came and got you but I didn't I only knew they wanted you and that was it I swear." Her voice was shaky she was scared heck I would be too if I was in her place.

"Scarlet I also have some news" Luca stood up from his seat and walked over to me looking a bit worried.

"Scarlet a few other wolves went out yesterday to go get some stuff for the pack but when they came back half of them where bitten."

"And I care because"

"Luna was one of the people who got bit" I felt my heart sink to my stomach he must be lying he has to be. I ran out of the house as quickly as I could and found Midnight I needed to hear it from her and not Luca.

"Midnight where's Luna what happened to her" now my voice was shaking I was so worried for Luna I didn't want her to become a Mixed blood like me. Not now, not ever.
