"Grillby?" you asked.
"Mmph?" He responded, from inside of your hair.
"I need to tell you something."
He pulled his face out from your hair. "Go ahead, (y/n)."
"You might want to pull up a chair. This gonna take a while."
He obliged, and you could feel panic rising in your chest.
"I am a hybrid. My mom was a human who fell in love with a monster. They lived on the surface, and that kinda thing was normal. Around the age of 13ish, I was taken away from them to learn how to fight."
"Go on."
"I was trained to become a war machine. I was given a mission: to go into the mythical Mt. Ebbot and kill all the monsters. But then I met you. You saved me. And I knew that I couldn't kill anyone."
He stood up. "(y/n)."
You had been looking at your feet, so when you returned my eyes to Grillby, he was giving you a sad smile.
"Little bird, know that I do not care what your past is, so long as you've changed. You are a kind and loving soul, and you bring happiness to all you meet. I am glad to have met you."
You sniffed. "Really?"
"Really."
"Wow..." You hadn't been sure he was going to forgive you so fast for all you were going to do.
"Besides, I have something to tell you too."
