Grillby waved a little back.
"grillby! it's ICE to see you!" Sans cracked a joke.
The patrons laughed at his attempt at humor, but it did the job.
You passed a few customers, a few who you had seen before. One booth was filled with kids and ghosts, the next was filled with puppies, another had fish men. The only empty seats were at the bar counter.
Of course.
You sat on the end nearest the jukebox with Sans and Papyrus on either side.
"So, did you guys want anything or did you drag me here to see me be uncomfortable?"
"NYEH, I ATE BEFORE WE CAME. SO DID SANS!" Papyrus grinned like a maniac up at you.
You smiled back, resisting the urge to scream. These boys would be the death of you, you were sure.
"Well, in that case, let's go back. I'm not hungry."
"grillby! we'll have a burger and a small fries over here!" Sans turned toward you. "sis, you're not fooling anyone. you haven't eaten since breakfast two days ago. you can't fool us."
You sighed and pulled out your phone. Well, Grillby's phone.
As you waited for your food, you messed around with some apps that were already installed.
You had tried to text Grillby, but he never answered.
You wished he would, but knew that he wouldn't. He probably hated you.
When the food arrived, you couldn't eat it. You stared at it, lost in thought.
