(The phrase "Working with you" was a little confusing until a brunette girl grabbed your arm and told you that Gaster was looking for an assistant in his lab and Grillby thought that you would be able to do some good there. When you looked at Grillby, he nodded. Turning to thank the girl, you saw her blink out of reality with pencil and paper in her hands. She was an author, no doubt about it.)

You didn't like Gaster.
No matter how trustworthy Grillby said he was, there was something about him that terrified you.

Maybe it was his eyes.

Grillby smiled. He trusted this monster, even if you didn't.
So, to please Grillby, you went with Gaster.

The royal scientist had a lab far away from Grillby's. It was entirely too hot for your taste. But you continued going. You promised your friend that you would.

Gaster held the door for you, inviting you in. "Welcome to my lab. Make yourself at home, (y/n). Whatever you do, don't bother me in my lab." He gestured to a door that you had no intention of opening.

The lab was soon to become your prison.

One day, a few weeks after you had first come to the Underground, a letter came for you.

"Little bird,
I have made a grave mistake sending you to Gaster's. Come to my place by way of the boatman as soon as possible.
Stay determined.
-G"

Grillby had told you to do what you had wanted for so long.
But you didn't think you could.

Gaster was going to show you his lab.

Quickly, you scrawled a response to him.
"G,
I cannot randevous with you at this time. Will come soon. Just not too soon. I don't want to break Gaster's trust just yet.
- Little Bird"

Along with the other letters that Gaster wanted to send, you took the mail to the postal office.

You got a lot of dirty looks - you resembled a human! - but was able to make it without getting hit. This time.

When you arrived back at the lab, Gaster was waiting for you.

"(y/n), are you ready to see the true lab?"

You nodded, your words failing you. Finally, you would get to see what he was working on.

He gestured to the door that he had told you not to go in.

"Right through here,"

You entered an elevator, stark white except for the orange floor. There was no music, only a slight creaking of the gears shifting.

You were starting to think coming to live with Gaster was a big mistake when the elevator doors flew open and you saw two skeletons lying on tables.

How about that author insert?
Yeah, just trying to explain some stuff...
