Karaoke - Song 2

The monsters gave a thunderous round of applause to your brothers.

As they had been singing, some monsters had gone up to Blooky and gave him slips of paper.

"That was great! Sans, Papyrus, fabulous job!" Grillby called out. He seemed so happy. He was so different from the first time you had ever met him...

"(y/n), by the way, your name is in there," he said.

"WHAT?!" you shrieked.

Grillby just laughed. "Don't worry, love. You'll do great!"

Blooky called out the next names. "Prince Asgore and, uh, (y/n)... But you know, you don't have to go..."

Asgore chuckled. "Are you kidding? Of course we'll go! Right, (y/n)?"

You walked over to Nabstablook, muttering about scams and blackmail.

Song is Imagine Dragons "Demons" - couldn't put the video on for some reason...

-3rd Person POV-

(y/n) and Asgore were given the music, and Grillby turned on the jukebox.

(y/n) started. "When the days are cold, and the cards all fold, and the saints we see are all made of gold. When your dreams all fail, and the ones we hail are the worst of all, and the blood's run stale."

Asgore jumped in. "I wanna hide the truth, I wanna shelter you, but with the beast inside, there's nowhere we can hide. No matter what we breed we still are made of greed. This is my kingdom come, this is my kingdom come."

They sang together. "When you feel my heat, look into my eyes. It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide. Don't get too close, it's dark inside. It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide."

Asgore stopped singing and let (y/n) take over. "At the curtain's call, it's the last of all. When the lights fade out, all the sinners crawl. So they dug your grave, and the masquerade will come calling out at the mess you made."

She switched to harmony and Asgore began singing. "Don't wanna let you down, but I am hell bound. Though this is all for you, don't wanna hide the truth. No matter what we breed, we still are made of greed. This is my kingdom come, this is my kingdom come."

Asgore signaled for everyone to start singing, and the crowd erupted into chorus. " When you feel my heat, look into my eyes. It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide. Don't get too close, it's dark inside. It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide."

The music stopped, but nobody cared. Everybody was too happy singing along to notice.

"They say it's what you make, I say it's up to fate. It's woven in my soul, I need to let you go. Your eyes, they shine so bright, I wanna save that light. I can't escape this now unless you show me how! When you feel my heat, look into my eyes. It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide

Everyone cheered. Nobody noticed Chara sneaking away from the jukebox.

Except the author.
The author saw everything.

So sorry about missing Thursday's update...

Here's the deal.
After the karaoke chapters, there will be 2 or 3 chapters left.

I still have Grillby & Gaster, Mettaton & Toriel, and Chara & Asriel lined up.
If all goes according to plan, I'll finish the book on the 24th or the 28th.
