Breakfast was cinnamon rolls. And, to be fair to Gaster, they were edible.
"So, (y/n), what are you and Chara doing today?" Gaster asked, pulling the pastries from the oven.
"She's gonna take me to see the King and Queen! What kind of monsters are they, Gaster?" Chara answered for you.
"RIGHT, YOU'RE THE ROYAL SCIENTIST, YOU WOULD KNOW, RIGHT DAD?" Papyrus asked, reaching for a roll. The cannibal...
Gaster pulled away the tray. He had a hostile look in his eyes, and you weren't sure why. He had been acting like that for a while towards Pap and Sans.
"They're goats."
Chara cracked up. "You're kidding. Goats? I don't believe it!"
Sans grinned. "does it look like we've goat time for your nonsense, dad? what are they, really?"
Everyone groaned at his pun. "I'm serious, Sans. That are goats."
"alright, don't get your lab coat in a twist." Sans smiled again. "hey, pap. i'm trying out this new style of singing!"
Papyrus looked thoroughly impressed. "I DIDN'T KNOW YOU SANG! WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC IS IT?"
"it's called bleat- boxing."
You think you died a little when he said that.
"SANS!"
"Well," you pushed your chair out from the table and motioned for Chara to do the same. "Sorry to leave so suddenly, but if we want to get to the castle..."
Gaster waved you off. "Alright. Stay safe, both of you."
"Thanks for the meal, Mr. Gaster!" Chara used his false 'good boy' act.
Once you got outside, he dropped it. "How do you live with those freaks?"
You shrugged. "They grow on you."
It was a quiet walk towards the castle.
"(y/n), who was that fire guy that you were with?" Chara asked, after about 10 minutes.
"That was Grillby. He's the owner of a diner in Snowdin."
He stopped walking. "Do you LOOOOOVE him?"
How could you tell a murderer that you loved the man he wanted to kill?
