E.T. (A Neptune's Novel)

Chapter 12

     Now it’s out of my mouth. Ugh. It turned out wrong! I didn’t like Justin’s reaction. He’s devastated about it. He won’t even return my calls. Why does this have to be so hard?

    I dialed Neptune’s number on my phone, checking if he’s in.

     “Hey, Mandy. What’s up?” he asked.

     “Wendy’s Burger. Now.” I said and hung up.

   Stupid Mandy. What if he thinks I’m just joking and he didn’t show up?  Anyway, there’s no going back. I’m going there now. Let’s see what will be the result.

     I sat there. Drinking my third glass of iced tea. Lucky me, it’s bottomless. I’m looking outside the window, looking stupid. Waiting for nothing. C’mon Mandy, as if the type of guy like Neptune would waste his precious time with a girl like you. That’s too much dream you’re wishing.

   I sighed deeply, about to walk and exit the restaurant, when the door’s chime rang. I looked up and saw him enter as he smiled at me. Yes, you’re right. Neptune, wearing checkered polo shirt, fit black jeans and Toms shoes. Bonnet and nerd glasses. He started making his way to my table as I stared up at him. I’ve never seen him so handsome before. You know I don’t stare at a guy, only if I like him or if I think he’s hot. But right now, Neptune is different from before. The way he walks, smirks and mostly everything, makes my heart go crazy.

  He smelled like he just stepped out of the shower, Ralph Lauren perfume, I think. His soft hands took mine as he looked into my eyes.

   “I’m sorry I’m late, Mandy. I’ve got to convince Mom that this is important. Which I think it is,” he smiled and sat across me.

   I looked at his hands on mine. It’s so soft like he always brush them with lotion every night. It’s warm at the same time. 

  “It’s fine. At least you’re here now. I thought you’re gonna ditch me” I laughed off. But afraid he really would.

“Why would I? So, what is this we’re going to talk about today?” he asked, pulling his hands out of our grasp. It felt cold in instant. Oh, I wish his hands would make it warm again, like newly – toasted bread.

 “I decided who I would go with to the dance. I alaready told Justin about it because I saw him first.” I started.

“So you’re saying, you’re goign with him? That’s okay. I understand – “

 “No. I’d go with you. That’s why I don’t wanna spill it over the phone. Cause I really wanna surprise you. I hope this news made you happy. I planned it for a long time, weighing every option I have. And then this is the result. Cause I think you need to tell me a lot of stories behind everything, more than Justin” I confronted.

   Neptune’s P.O.V.:

     Wait. Mandy’s going to the dance with me?! Did I heard her right? With me? I didn’t expect that.

“– and then this is the result. Cause I think you need to tell me a lot of stories behind everything, more than Justin” she continued.

     I felt my face turn into a serious frown. Wait, is she starting to learn the true me? My secrets?  If so, then I’m so dead!

     “I don’t have anything to tell you” I lied, making it up, trying to make her believe.

    She smiled and shook her head, making her curly brunette hair bounce. “Don’t lie to me, Prince Charming. I know you’re hiding something from me. But it’s not the right time to discuss things like this. And I want you to know that I will listen if you’re ready to tell me EVERYTHING about you and your tru identity” she continued.

    My face showed fear, thinking she would be scared when she learned what I am and where I came from.

     “I – I got to go, Mandy. It’s nice to know you’re going with me. I’ll be picking you up tomorrow morning. Get a beauty sleep if you have to. Goodbye” I waved at her, running out the restaurant like a maniac. Only one thing, I have to. I have to run away. Before she gets to fine out everything I’ve hidden for about a year now.

     I ran, making my way thrugh the door of my apartment and entered my room. I’m panting, trying to catch my breath. I connected the Pythe with the people from home. This time, my mother answered it. Lucky.

      “Neptune? What’s the matter, son. It’s like you’ve been running around for the whole day. Are you playing around again? Cause if so, your father – “

     “No, Mom. I mean – mother. I starting to get close with Mandy. The Mandy girl. And, I just wanna ask if I could borrow or extend my time for one more month. It’s only 3 months and..And I think it’s impossible to get love from her yet, That’s too short.” I explained.

      “No. That’s impossible. It’s three months, and it won’t be extended. Learn to manage your time, young man. Your brother says Hi,” and she disconnected. Is there anyone in the family who won’t disconnect when talking to me?

   Oh Mandy, why do you have to make my mission hard? And why do you have to be my mission. And that started me thinking. Tomorow is the dance. It’s now the 30th of the month, that means tomorrow – there would only be...two months left?! I’m going to be dead. Do something, Neptune, do something quick.

  Dear Journal,

      Now, the clock is seriously ticking up on me. What do I do now, you tell me? I’m happy she said yes to me to be her escort to the dance. But she’s also the one I’ll confess the mission. I know she will be angry when she finds out that everything is part of a mission I need to do. But is it really a mission? Or am I really falling in love...with Mandy?

    Fresh, New and Hot Chapter 12 for everyone! Since I didn't join our field trip (Yeah. Sucks) I decided to make this for you guys. Chapter 13 will be up soon to. Maybe this Saturday. And oh, look Neptune's falling...For Mandy? Care to explain, Neptune? ;)

     Sorry about that. Haha! They can't be tamed. But yeah, here's Chapter 12. And Oh! The external link on thr right side contains a picture of Mandy and Neptune. Lol. Kinda spoiler but oh well. Except his eyes supposed to be violet. Let me fix that some other time. :D
