Longer time. Longer time please. “Mandy Crooke! Get your ass off your bed! First day of school today. You don’t want to be late for school, don’t you?” Mom yelled from the kitchen.
I groaned and fell down on the floor. I got up quickly and lazily walked to the bathroom. I took a ten-minute bubble bath and dried myself up. I blow-dried my hair and brushed it up. My hair is my "Crowning Glory". So, I really need to fix them. I have a red curly hair that ends just on the middle of my back. I put a drop of eye glistener into my eyes which made it look sparkly and shiny. My eyes are my favorite part in my whole body. I have this doll-like hazel eyes that could capture a guy's heart.
I wore a body fit peach shirt with a bear design. I placed my comfy gray sweater above it, a checkered skirt, a gray doll shoes, and my mother’s locket. She gave me this locket when I had my 13th birthday.
I walked downstairs and sat on my usual spot on our dinning table. Also called my “High Chair”. You all think that’s for kids, but no... it’s not really a high chair. I just want to call it that name and feel that I’m superior for once. Mom placed a bowl full of cereals and a carton of milk in front of me. “Eat up, young lady. Or you’ll get dizzy when you get to school” she reminded me.
I turned the T.V. on. A news is being reported.“Good morning, Arizona. Good morning, Earth. An early and fresh news for all of you. A space craft was seen in the Petrified Forest in Flagstaff. It is stated by the witness that the space craft came from the sky, and thought as if it’s a shooting star. But when the space craft landed in the earth’s surface, they saw it was not an ordinary space ship. What is it then you think? Stay tune for the latest updates here on Sunshine Arizona” the reporter ended.
What a weird news to start my day! I mean, I don’t like aliens so much. Not my type, really. But oh well, think about this, when that space craft landed then maybe someone’s in there, which I’m sure there is. Maybe that ‘someone’ is a hot guy from NASA and—What am I saying? “Finished eating, mom. Gotta get to school! Also, I got to catch my bus! Bye bye.” I smiled at her. She smiled back and shook her head.
“I really see you’re a big girl now. Before, I’m the one who drives you to school-“ “—to make sure I’m okay. I know that, mom. I want to listen to those pretty memories, But I really need to catch my bus now. Catch you later, mom” I said, kissed her forehead and walked outside.
“Sunny day today, don’y you think, Madie?” my best friend, Bethany asked.
Bethany Powells is a great girl. Though my schoolmates call her a "Geek Freak", she’s still my one and only best friend. Beth is fifteen years old just like me. A petite girl, 5’4 in height, has this chocolate brown eyes, only beneath those glasses. She doesn’t seem to remove those glasses at public places. I don’t know why but that’s the way how she likes it. She has black hair, all natural. No curls just straight, that ends on her shoulders. You’re going to love her instantly. She always loves to laugh even on those simple jokes, friendly, she’s the one who’s going to approach you. Especially if she knows you’re alone. Has a big heart for every one. She’s going to help you even if you’re her enemy. I don’t think she has one, except for Matthew Willers. The school’s top jock. The school’s King. Other’s thinks she’s an enemy. But how can you be angry at her? I mean she’s the nicest girl ever! She’s there for me always, always there to protect me too, and always smiling. As if she’s got no problem at all. As if life for her is a fairytale.
She has this simple kind of outfit for school. Long sleeve upper wears, skirts that ends on her knees, tights. Depends what the color of her long sleeve is, her brown shoes, oh! And don’t forget her braces.
