Oh my god. This is it. The time I’m waiting for. The day of the dance. This is the day where I’m going to be escorted by my own Prince Charming.

Nah. Erase that. That’s supposed to be, the day I’m going to be escorted BY Prince Charming. Now that’s better, right? No, I like the first one. Haha. Stop being flirty,Mandy. As I was walking down stairs, I heard a car honk outside. Maybe Bethany and Matthew.

“I’ll get it, sweetie” Mom said, and I stood behind her, waiting for the door to reveal who it is.

Prince Charming.

Oh my God.  He does look...captivating. Now where did that word come from? But he is really gorgeous. Wearing a black tuxedo and white long sleeves, polished shoes, and a silver necklace with a mini Neptune dangling from it. He looks...hot tonight. Seriously. I would trade anything so that I can have a guy like him. So dreamy. Yeah, Mandy. DREAMS ONLY. It’s not like he would go out with a girl like me.

He smiled at me and my mom. She invited him in and he showed me a white rose for my wrist. His eyes twinkled when he grinned at me, like it was his first time to see anyone like me. ‘Cause probably I’m one of the plainest girl he’d ever met.

“Good evening, Mandy. Are you ready?” he said holding his elbows out for me.

I breathed out deeply. I nodded and took his arms. It feels warm, strange because it’s October right now, and it’s really cold outside. I shivered. He looked at me and removed his tux off.

     “No, no. It’s okay. I’m alright. You don’t have to – “

“Yes, I need to. C’mon wear this. It’ll make you warm.” He smiled.

And it did. His black tuxedo was big on me. Long sleeves passing my hands and fingers and the neckline was too big. But I don’t care. All I know is that this is Neptune’s. It smells like the beach, fresh and cozy. I wonder if I could have this as a remembrance from him. I didn’t notice we arrived the Grand Hall already. ‘Welcome’ banners hung outside the entrance and our hall changed to a ‘Autumn’ theme. Dried fallen leaves were on the floor with different colors. Red, Orange, Yellow and others are Brown. It feels so calm around here I i thought this would never end. Just like this. I saw Bethany & Matthew are here already. Where’s Justin? I hope he’s coming tonight. I want to see how he looks like too. Speak of the devil, and the devil shall appear. Justin walked in, looking awesome as ever, but his mask is back on, and I wonder if his attitude too. I saw his face hung low, avoiding meeting any gaze around him. He walked to the table get some root beer and sat on the corner alone.

I saw Neptune looking at him too. I told him I’d talk to Justin. Maybe he needs someone. H seems to be so depressed. His eyes lit up and his lips formed a smile when he saw me approaching. He patted the futon next to him and I sat there with poise. Ugh, I am wearing a dress for goodness’s sake.

“Hey, having fun tonight?” I asked him.

He looked at me like I’m joking.

“My ‘fun’ was taken away. By another guy called Neptune,” he said, cocking his head to the side and gazing at me.

“You’re kidding, right?” I laughed off. I mean, dude. He agreed that I can be with him and now he’s bawling his eyes out. Okay, that one was rude. But, hey he’s ruder to me before.

“Do I look like I’m kidding?” he asked me, taking my hands and putting them between his. His hands felt warm and compared to Neptune are a little bit smoother.
