Chapter 20

Bethany's P.O.V.

        "Matthew!" I screamed as I opened our front door, revealing the sexiest man for me. I'm glad he changed for the better. I mean, Seeing him with me is so impossible before. Even just a talk I'm already happy even though he teases me. I always tell myself that at least he noticed me.

    So what more seeing him walk into your porch holding pink roses. OH. NO. Allergy alert. Get that away from me before I even...

        "Achoo!" I yelled, covering my nose and mouth with a handkerchief. Matthew suddenly rushed towards me to hold me. such a sweet move but uhhhm, he should start moving away before I get worse. 

        "Are you okay, babe? I'm so sorry. I didn't know you are allergic to this."He said, I can hear that  he's really sincere. So I looked at him to let him see I'm still alive and breathing. 

        "It's all good, hun. I'm okay. Just please get me inhaler on the first aid cabinet before my asthma attacks. And you can try chocolates next time!" I told him, I can feel my illness around the corner. And I need to beat that. I don't want to destroy this day. With Matt in it, it's perfecto! I don't need my damn asthma to be a cock-block. 

     To be honest? I can really say that there are so many things that change with Matthew. He's less that kind of a bad-ass inside the school. Whenever he gets detention before, he would just crumple that and throw it at the nearest trash can possible. But now? He doesn't get that much of detention. And! whenever he gets one at times, he attends them. He knows I'd wait for him to finish that while I read inside the library.

    And on my birthday last week, he gave me a bookshelf! How sweet isn't he? Cause my old bookshelf was personally made by my father but now, I have a new one with a glass door to protect them from getting too much dust around the house. He always fetch me from my house and from school too. I just hope he isn't doing this because of bets or anything. If he is? I would slice his head off. BOTH OF THEM. But I doubt that really.

        "Here it is, babe." he smiled at me and handed me my inhaler. After a few minutes and I'm good, we walked towards the kitchen so we can join my parents for a dinner. 

      My parents both looked up as they heard me approached the room. They smiled at me and also to Matthew. it's been long since they knew him. But to be honest, at the first encounter? M older brother almost pushed him against the wall. My big brother knows about Matthew. he know3s I like him but he's also the guy who bullied me there. But, as the time goes by, the almost became the best of friends. Whenever Matthew go here and stay until the evening, they both play Call of Duty or Halo on the living room. It's nice seeing them get along.

        "Matthew, Beth. Good to see you here, guys! The dinner is ready, please join us." mom invited. We sat at our usual seats and started to have our usual dinner.

        "So, Matthew, son. What is the news about your real estate company? Since I left there, I haven't heard about anything from your dad or anything about it." Dad asked Matt. I almost choked on my food. That's a touchy subject. And I hope it's okay with everybody for him to ask that.

        "It's doing great. Actually, I also came here to bring you a good news. My father wants you back. When he discovered that Megan pulled you out, he instantly told me to tell you that, you should start working next Monday again. You're one of the finest, Mr. Powells." Matthew grinned, looking at dad, who looks like he'd seen a ghost. He's pale.

        "Dad, are you okay? You look like you're gonna throw up!" I asked him. Or is he really gonna throw up? 

        "Nah, I'm good. Tell your father I'll report as early as I can next Monday, thank you." Dad smiled back to Matt. I'm glad they're all getting along well. 

   Matthew's phone rang out loud. he always forget to 'silent' his phone. I was curious who is calling.  And he looked as if someone gave him a death threat. My eyebrows furrowed and looked at him. He looked at me and smiled but it didn't reach his eyes.

       "What's wrong, hun? Who is it?" I asked him, he's a bit appalled and hid his phone inside his pockets. 

       "It's nothing. Forget it. Don't worry about it." he grinned. I know he's hiding something from me. Matthew tell everything to me. He doesn't hide anything to me before. So what's new this time?

             After Matthew left when dinner is done, I walked to my room and planned to call Mandy. It's been days since I've talked to her. Lt's see how things go for her. She's lucky though. She's got two guys head over heels for her. I can't blame Neptune and Justin. Mandy is really pretty. Much more than that Megan Collins. 

       "Hello?" Mandy answered after the third ring. Which was unusual, since she answers the phone after the first ring. I guess something is up. I can totally hear that from her voice.

       "Mandy! Hey, I miss you, dear. How are you, what's up?" I asked her, somehow with a half-worried voice. 

       "I'm okay. But, it's just. I can sense something is up with Justin and Neptune these days." she told me.

      "What?! THEY'RE GAY! I mean, that would really suck, cause I know how you like those guys-" I answered but Mandy laughed hysterically and cut me off.

     "What? NO! Haha, what are you saying. They are not. Of if they are, there's nothing wrong about it. But it's not that! They have something they're not telling me. And I need to know what is it." she told me.

      Sometimes, I am thinking that Mandy would really do good if she plans to join a talent search in TV. I mean, her voice fits the scene. She know show to act them out! Its amazing. Okay. This is a serious matter Bethany. Take it seriously. 

     "And I also think, you need to ask them about that some other time. I know what you need. A shopping time tomorrow morning. Since it's a weekend. Don't even say no to me or I'll break your neck." I told her while giggling.

     "Wow, when did you even become that violent?" she asked me, laughing too.

     "When I knew that you existed. Haha, I inherited that from you, Madie." I added.

     "Alright, alright, I'll go and have shopping with you. Aren't Matthew coming with us? she asked.

     "No. its a girls time. I mean, we haven't do any kind of those things for like 2 weeks." I answered.

             Let me tell you that I am not doing this before. Since I was the 'geek' of the school. I am just doing this for Madie. I son't want her sulking around her house or what. But as Mandy said, maybe all I need was a makeover. And I plan to do that this coming Monday. That's why this shopping would be important. I would remake my closet. Buy clothes, shoes and change my glasses to contact lenses, straighten my curly hair and pretty much make it more alive.

        Now, let's see who's the geek now, hmmm?

       Chapter 20! So I changed the point of view this time. I made it Mandy's point of view since it's been a while since I talked about her. So we'cve got several question this chapter left us.
