*Andrea’s POV*

“Well done Andrea. You have such a lovely tone” Jade told me as I practiced the C scale. “Okay Kerry your go” Jade motioned towards Kerry “Jade, I physically cannot do scales!” she demanded “look, just try. It will help you with your assignment” Jade told her. She got up and walked over to Jade “Ok so stand straight back up right, that’s it. Now give me a note” Jade asked Kerry and she did following it with a scale “Kerry that was really good!” Tia said. “It wasn’t. It was rubbish and I just made a fool out of myself” she said “No you didn’t it was really good.” Jade said as Kerry walked back to her seat. “Ok so I am very proud of all of you. You have done so well with your scales and by doing this little exercise regularly will help you with your assignment.” She told us “Are we allowed to work on our songs now Jade?” Siva asked and Jade nodded. “I will let you leave this class early so you can start thinking about what you want so sing together. You have 2 hours till your drama lesson with Nick until then take time to research songs, get to know your partner a bit more. I will also be looking for how well you have worked together” Jade said as we gathered up our stuff and left the classroom. “Well good luck on your assignments, we will catch up with you later” Ashley said as her and Tom walked down the corridor followed by Siva and Becca and Max and Monita. “George, did you wanna go to the gardens? Might be quiet there since students will be in lessons” Anna asked George “sure thing, talk later guys” George said and Conor waved. Nathan, the newbie just stood awkwardly next to Tia “have you been to this college before Nathan?” I asked. He shook his head “I was told I didn’t need to do first year as I was taught privately.” He told us “well don’t worry, I will show you around” Tia told him. She was flirting and I could also see Kerry’s face change a bit. “Well, Conor and I better get off and do some practicing. Come on Con Con” Kerry said dragging Conor away “talk later mate!” Jay called down to him. “Maybe we could ask Jade if we can stay in the classroom Jay?” I asked him and he nodded. “Well you too have fun.” I gave Tia a little wink and poor Nathan looked scared. As we went our separate ways to practice before drama.

Ashley and I managed to find a free room. We asked one of the tutors if we could go in and they said it is fine. We sat down and started to brainstorm ideas “well did you want to do an upbeat or romantic song?” Ashley asked me. She was very close to me which I liked. A lot. I also loved her American accent. She moved to Norwich last year in order to do this music and performing arts course. “Well I want to play guitar. You can play guitar can’t you?” I asked her and she nodded “yeah I can. What songs can you play?” she asked me as I logged onto my city college account on the computer went onto YouTube and started to research songs “anything really, I just pick up the guitar and just play. Are there any songs you can definitely play?” I asked her. She nodded “I can play a lot of Taylor Swift songs” she told me. I nodded and typed in Taylor swift into YouTube “we need a duet though Tom” she told me “well how about this song then” I said pressing play. She smiled then she started to sing. I joined in on the male parts and she blushed as I stroked her cheek. “Everything has changed” we sang. And then the song ended. “Well I think we have chosen our song then Tom” Ashley said. “Now we got to learn it on guitar” I joked with her. “We can do it” she smiled and I kissed her before playing the song again and singing passionately together.

*Siva’s POV*

  Becca and I sat in the library looking at videos on YouTube and making notes on paper on our favourite duets we liked. Our list was full “well we are going to have to choose one of those songs Siva. We can’t do them all” Becca told me “I know, but which one do you prefer out of them?” I asked her “I like No Air and also Beauty and the beat” she told me. “Well I think we should do a romantic song and beauty and the beat is a bit upbeat” I told her. I typed no air into YouTube again and we both listened to it quietly singing not to disturb others “Tell me how I’m supposed to breathe with no air” Becca sang softly. She was amazing. As the song finished we both nodded “we are in harmony when we sing this one Seev” she told me. “Okay then we shall do this one” I told her and she nodded in agreement as we kept playing the song over and over learning the words and trying out different ways of singing.

*Conor’s POV*

“Conor I am not singing! I can’t sing!” Kerry exclaimed down my ear. Quite frankly I would rather be with Tia but I had to work with Kerry cos that is who Jade put me with “look, don’t worry. You don’t have to sing. Would you be happy to do some rapping?” I asked her. She nodded “Oh God yes anything but singing. I can play keys if you want to as well or use the mixing set?” she told me “ok cool well I wrote this song and originally I was going to ask Tia to sing it with me but I will ask you instead. It’s called headphones. Take a listen” she put the earpiece in her ear and listened to the song with me. There was a bit that was just instrumental but she started to rap over it “I put ‘em on and turn ‘em loud baby boy that’s how I do it….” She started. My eyes widened and my mouth dropped as she continued “I’m looking fly like Quidditch” when it came to my bit again I paused the song. “You just made that up on the spot!” I said excitedly. As she smiled and nodded “Kerry that is amazing! Can you remember what you said? We can write that down and use it” I asked her taking a pen and notebook from my backpack and wrote down the lyrics she recited. In a way now, I was glad to be working with Kerry.
