Chapter 49

*Andrea’s POV*

Not long before the performance! Only a few days! Everyone has been working so hard for several months. I have learnt all of Tia’s lines since I am now playing Taylor. All the choreography is piecing well together as I am still lead ensemble as well. Tia has got used to the lighting and knows her cues. All the costumes have been sorted out. Props, scenery and set are all looking good. Everyone knows what they are doing. “Okay places please for finale!” Nick shouts from off stage. We have all be rehearsing like mad. Making sure we “bond” with our couple. It is easy to say rather than to do since Kerry and Nathan are a couple anyway. It is awkward for me and Conor! I am not his girlfriend I am a Jay’s! And I kind of feel bad. Tia is always telling me that it is ok and that it is just acting but it still doesn’t feel right. Oh well. We better get some more rehearsals done.

AFTER THE SHOW

*Conor’s POV*

The first show was complete! We all finished the last song and then the lights went down! It was a success. Kerry and Nathan did such a good job as being the lead roles and Andrea did great filling in for Tia. Tia brought a bag with her containing a set of pyjamas and other things just in case she went into labour. She wasn’t due for another few days but you can never be too careful. We all left the stage and got out of our costumes. I finished getting dressed and went over to see Tia. She was sitting down and panting “Tia, are you ok?” I rushed over to her and crouched down in front of her, holding her hand. “I…I think she is coming” she told me. “NATHAN KERRY OVER HERE I THINK TIA IS GOING INTO LABOUR!” I shouted as Tia’s panting grew heavier. Kerry and Nathan ran over. The others, at the point had all gone home or were getting changed still so it was just me Nathan Kerry and a labouring Tia. “It hurts Conor aghhh!” she said. “I will drive to the hospital! Now Tia you need to walk do you think you can do that?” Nathan asked her calmly which was good since I was panicking. “No…” she told him. She was now crying her eyes out. “Tia sweetie you are going to have to try if you want this baby at the hospital come on now, up you get” Kerry said as me and her helped her up. She clenched her stomach as we quickly but carefully left college to get her up to the hospital. We got to Nathan’s car. “Conor you sit in the back and let Tia lay on your lap. Kerry you phone the hospital and let them know we are on our way” Nathan instructed us as we did what he said. He then sped off to the hospital. “I… can’t do this Conor!” Tia said. She was crying so much. She also looked extremely weak as if she is going to faint. I stroked her hair “it’s going to be fine Tia, I promise” she had her head on my lap and her legs on the seat. She was letting out the loudest cries and moans. I hated seeing her like this. I decided, in case she gives birth before we got to the hospital, to take her trouser bottoms off. “Conor, WHAT ARE YOU DOIING LET GO OF ME!?” she shouted in a dazed state. “Just making you more comfortable!” I told her. But that was when I revealed and astonishing amount of blood. This can’t be happening “SHIT SHIT SHIT NATHAN SHE IS BLEEDING FROM DOWN BELOW!” I shouted as tears started to form in my eyes “WHAT CONOR NO PLEASE NO OW IT HURTS!” Tia shouted back and me. “It’s ok! We will be there soon. You two both just need to relax. Everything is going to be ok!” Nathan told us. “Tia just keep breathing nice and slowly” Kerry said looking at us. But Tia was getting extremely faint. “Oh my gosh, I need to call my mum she needs to be here” Tia cried “Baby ill ring her when we get to the hospital okay?” I said soothing her. She nodded as she was getting weaker and weaker but still letting out cries.  

Tia’s POV*

I was being rushed to the hospital. It hurt so much! I could feel the contractions! I was breathing heavily and I was in tears but most of all I was feeling extremely woozy! Conor said I was bleeding from down below. I was losing blood. My breathing highly increased as Conor said I was bleeding “Tia stay with me baby girl!” I heard Conor shout at me. My eye lids fluttering open and close open and close. I tried my best to stay awake but I didn’t have enough strength. “Tia…..Not…..Blood….Faint” I could hear small words being said around me. My head was spinning and my stomach was aching. And then everything turned to black…….
