*Becca’s POV*

I really didn’t mind who I played but I decided if it had to be anyone from HSM it had to be Sharpey. What did I have to lose? I mean if I didn’t get Sharpey I would of got casted as someone else. Taylor maybe or Kelsi? I defo knew I wasn’t going to be able to get Gabriella. Well I just don’t know. Anyway as I walked into the studio after having a good luck kiss from Siva I told our tutors that I want to try for Sharpey. “Good for you Becca. Well we just need you to act out this scene for us the best you can. Just try thinking of Sharpey in the movie ok?” Nick told me. I nodded. “Ok I will be Troy. You ready? Of you go” he told me “Hi Troy. I realise I haven’t offered my congratulations” I say in a very feminine way “Um, thank you. I’m glad the season is over so….” Nick said his line. “I didn’t mean basketball silly! I mean Gabriella! Her missing the show is a little disappointing but being selected for Stanford. That’s. Amazing. For her” I finished the scene. “Okay well done with that Becca. Now we want to hear you sing ok? I nodded as I started to sing this song (see link) but only part of it cos it was a long song. “Ok well done Becca. We will let you know how things go ok?” Nick said as I left the studio my smile beaming from ear to ear

*Tom’s POV*

Becca walked out of the room and smiled. “You going in next TomTom?” she asked me and I nodded. I didn’t know who I wanted to be. To be honest I didn’t even know the storyline to high school musical. I walked in “Hello Tom. So anyone in particular you are auditioning for?” Nick asked me. I shook my head “I honestly have no clue on characters what so ever” I admitted “ok well, did you want a lead role Troy or Ryan maybe?” Karen asked me. I shook my head “nah, not Troy. Er who is Ryan?” I asked “he is sister of wanna be Sharpey. He likes to dance and is very keen on his music” Jade told me. I nodded “ok, I will try him then” they smiled and passed me some papers “ok so these are some scripts. Jade will play the part of Sharpey in this bit ok?” Nick said and I nodded. “So basically u r on lunch break and Sharpey is trying to get you to understand fame. Then the next scene is with you and Kelsi ok?” Karen explained and then I started “New York deli platter please” “How can you be thinking about food at a time like this?” Jade said as Sharpey. I thought to myself that, if I want this I needed to get more into character so I shrugged “Maybe cos it’s lunch?” I said in a quirky way “ok and scene. Well done Tom. Ok so onto next scene where u and Kelsi are discussing a song ok and go” Nick said and I started the scene “Morning” “Morning” Jade said again. There was a part I had to sing but I didn’t mind it. I kind of did it slightly wrong though cos I didn’t know the song. I then carried on the scene “It’s beautiful” “thanks” “I mean it this whole prom thing is going to be good, speaking of prom what you doing?” “Its three days before the show I got lyrics and-“ “great I will pick you up at 8” I finished the scene cutting in at the end which they seemed happy with. I left the studio feeling very happy.

*Nathan’s POV*

So it is my first ever audition and I didn’t know who to go for. I didn’t want to make a fool out of myself so I decided to just go for a smaller role. “I dunno the characters very well, I am not fussed who I am” I told them “well would you be happy to do a bigger role? O think you are much better than going for a smaller role” Nick told me “who hasn’t there been an audition for yet?” I asked them “Troy” Jade told me “hang on, isn’t he the lead?” I asked and they nodded “Go on Nathan give it a go? It doesn’t matter if you don’t get it cos you will get someone else” Karen said. I sighed then said “ok what do I need to do?” Nick passed me a script. “Karen will be Gabriella ok? Now she doesn’t do much talking so you have got to find ways to interact with her ok?” Nick told me and I nodded “Ok so you are up on the roof top ok? You have bought prom tickets for her ok?” Jade added and then I started “I have never been to a dance, much less a prom!” I started off. I then pulled out two bits of paper and pretended to use them as tickets and handed them to Karen. “I’m hoping these are a good start. Do you think we will have to waltz cos I have no idea how to do that?” “All I know is my dad taught me when I was a little girl” Karen said as Gabriella. She took my hands and we started to Waltz. “You are a good dancer Nathan!” she said. “Thanks.” I said. “OK so now a song.” Jade said she passed me a lyric sheet and got me to sing this song (see link) when the song finished they clapped me “wow Nathan you are really good. Well thanks for your audition. We will get back to you soon” Nick said as I smiled and left the studio.
