Everyday battle.

Battle fields,

They just don't mean war zones,

A battle zone is the spot,

Where someone was victimized,

The difference you wonder?

One wasn't a battle,

One was a horror story,

Being lived,

A nightmare coming true,

A battle zone,

Doesn't have to be two army's,

It can be two best friends,

Soon to be strangers,

Hurling their own verbal bombs,

Regret flashing in their eyes,

Like the flash of flaming anger,

Ignites in the others,

An emotional catastrophy,

A battle carcus,

Doesn't have to be bodies,

It can be the terror,

Slicing the air,

As someone hears their window smash,

The door being kicked in,

The difference,

The death of comfort,

Of safety,

A battle shell,

Doesn't have to be a empty bullet,

It can be an empty mind,

Of everything but fright,

The brain of a child,

Lost in a town,

Surronded by people,

Faces it can't remember,

It's parents not found,

A battle cry,

Doesn't have to be the cry of a dying warrior,

It can be the cry of an abused women,

In her home,

Correction house,

Held captive,

By the so called,

Love of her life,

Her sweetheart turned demon,

Battles go on everyday,

Fight yours well,

But also,

Know when the fight should die.
