Thirty Four: Kloe What a time

"Jef... you know you can rest now, we're safe here." I said after the blueprint of our up and coming attack.

The past couple weeks had been hectic and busy because all we were doing was making sure the black Mafia back home was still collecting currency and keeping the drugs in rotation all of this time we've been gone. While on the flip side here we were planning parts of this attack and studying so I hadn't talked to Jef much at all!!

He stood to the window cleaning his pistols one by one.

"I'm good, you should get you some ill be up watching." He uttered.

I flopped onto my bed,fiddling with my hands.

"Jef ...can I ask you something."

"Yeah what's up?"

I paused trying to decipher my words before asking.

"Remember we were in Cuba?"

He nodded.

"And,... On the way back after you guys found me.. We had a special moment... We kissed." I mumbled nervously glimpsing over at him.

He was still cleaning his guns calmly as if this conversation wasn't a big deal.

"Yeah."

"Did you mean it? I mean like when we kissed it wasn't just an in the moment thing?"

Jef stopped cleaning his pistol and smiled looking over at me.

"You want the Don to come kill my ass don't you, I already seen him in my dreams a few times when that bitch had me captive." He joked, making me blush.

"Jef I'm serious... I know Claudia gave you her blessings.... She told me." I said with a smirk.

"She did.... But as of right now with all of this shit going on I ain't tryna rush things.... I don't want my emotions to get the best of me... I just lost Vondoe and I'm dealing with that shit popping xans just to get me threw the night. I'm not tryna lose you too. You know I care about yo lil ass, but we gotta handle business first." Jef explained solemnly resuming back to cleaning his automatics.

And as bad as I wanted to force things and just put my heart on the line I accepted his words for what they were worth.

Later that night we ate together like a Mafia before being assigned our duties.

Jef and I were sent to check out the condo Adele was at and see what the security was like.

"This starting to feel like old times." Jef said as we packed up the tinted black charger hitting the road.

"I know, I'm just happy you're back!" I said nudging his arm.

"Well now we both know how the shit feels, shit I was glad to see yo lil ass back!"

As Jef mentioned those words my mind zoomed back to when al Pono raped me forcing me to perform oral on him! It was one of the darkest moments in my life and I still have nightmares about those nights!

      "Yo you good?" He asked snapping me out of my trans.

"Um yeah.. I just,.. Had a little moment."

"Thinking about what that nigga al Pono did to you again?" Jef replied in a calm yet bothered tone.

I nodded yes... "I'm gonna kill him, I don't care how long it takes or if it cost me my own life! I have to kill him!
