Chapter Six: Bending the rules

"Not gonna lie Spangles, Was not expecting you off all people to break the rules." I tell Steve. He was pushing Amira on a swing, which she never seen before. Steve got us a ride to Central Park, in New York. He had to wear a cap and glasses, whit a hoodie to hide from everyone.

"You needed a break." He said, while smiling at Amira. She was giggling over swinging.

"Did you see it?" I ask him as I look at her. He sighs, giving me my awnser.

"How old were you?" Steve asks. His smile was gone.

"In the memory or when it began?" I ask. He stopped pushing Amira and gave me his full attention.

"Both." I sighed. Now here is a little explanation of my thought process right now.

I was in Steve's head and he has been in mine. His personality and fears are with me, and I think vice versa. So I trust him. Plus he is Captain America, he like a freaking Golden boy.

"The Memory I was 11, and It started when I was 4." I tell him. I watched Amira fly up and down in the air, she was so happy.

"Who's her Dad?" Steve asks.

"Some solider from this german thing. He's there greatest achievement, Masked man would say. So, he took from the solider, and put it my mom. Then Amira came along." I tell him, Amira got off the swing and ran to us with a big smile.

"Mr. America, can we do more stuff?" She asks. Steve grins and kneels to her level.

"Only if you call me Steve or Rodgers." Amira jumps up and down and lunges herself at him. She hugs him tight, which caught him off guard. He looked at me and I just smiled. He picks her up and puts Amira on his hip. He was good with her, wonder if he would ever go for kids himself.

"How about, we go to the rocks?" He suggests. I follow him as Amira looks around from the new height advantage she had. Steve chuckles at her.

"Thanks Steve, this means a lot. Amira has never been outside before." I tell him.

"Never?"

"We weren't allowed to leave. It kept everyone safe. When Clint and Tash found out about my abilities, I was on full blown lockdown, so I wouldn't have what happened early, happen." I say as we approached the rocks. Kids were climbing and playing with there parents. Amira got out of Steve's arms and grabbed my arm, pulling me to the rocks.

"Let's go Mika!!!" She says as we head to the rocks. I could climb these and wow everyone if I really wanted to. But that would draw attention and I would never be able to leave again. I helped her climb as Rodgers climbed with us. At one point, I had shoved Rodgers, making him fall and making Amira giggle.

I payed for that later.

After the rocks we ran in the fields. Or Steve chased us. He got Amira quickly, but I was a challenge. I was fast and sneaky. I would turn sharply and he would slide. Amira cheered for Steve to catch me, little traitor. This last for a bit, till Steve Tackled me. Amira jumped on him, so Steve dramatically collapsed. I was laughing so hard at his theatrics.

"Oh no! She Got Me!" Steve says as he rolls on the ground, Amira climbed all over him giggling. She put up her arms and showed her Muscles.

"Thank you brave warrior from rescuing me!" I say as I pick her up and throw her in the air. She giggled more, that smile was what got me going everyday. The day seemed like it could never end, it was too perfect. Then Steve's phone rang.

As He awnsered, I sat with Amira in my lap. She was waiting for him to finish so she could play. Tash never had time for this, and Amira wanted more Steve. He sighed and hung up.

"Have to go back?" I ask, disappointment flooding my heart.

"Well, I didn't tell Natasha I was taking you two. So she might have gone on a full search everywhere." Steve says sheeply. I roll my eyes and fall to the ground. Steve laid next to me, Amira in between us.

"I don't wanna go back." I whispered. I could hear Amira snoring next to me, we tired her out for once.

"Why not?"

"Because I don't wanna be anyone's experiment anymore." I say as I wipe away stray tears. "I just want to be free. I want to be able to go outside, without fear of someone trying to kidnap me. I just wanna be normal."

"I get it." Steve says. We stay like this for awhile. Just staring at the sky. Letting the world disappear.

It was great till two shadows tower over us. I look to See Thor and Tony.

"Lady Rominoff has been searching for you." Thor said.

"So you two are here to bring us back?" I ask.

"Yup." Stark said. I was still pissed at him. I pick up sleeping Amira and go to Thor for a ride. He grabs my waist.

"Hold on." He says then the flying starts.
