Chapter Twenty Three: Going Home.

We start to drive. I was sitting in the middle of Natasha and Jasper. Amira sat on my lap and Sam was driving, leaving Steve in the front.

"HYDRA doesn't like leaks." Jasper said panicky.

"Then why don't you try sticking a cork in it." Sam sassed back.

"Did it say launch is at 16:00, were cutting it a little bit close here." Tash points out.

"I know, we'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and get to the hellicarriers directly." Steve said.

"WHAT!" Jasper shouts.

"Stop being so loud." Amira mumbles.

"Are you crazy? That is a terrible, terrible Idea." Then we hear something on the roof. A metal arm comes through the window and grabs Jasper. IT throws him into the other side of traffic and kills him. Amira whimpers in my arms. We see a gun and Tash moves. She jumps in the front, as bullets are fired into the car. I protect Amira using my body as a Shield. Steve pulls the car into reverse, making us break. The body flings off, but it uses its arm to stop himself.

It was Winter.

He stood and looked at us, his face completely covered. Then the back of the car is it, and I hit my head against the middle bridge. Amira screams at the blood. WE are pushed forward and I hold Amira tight, ready for the next move. Winter jumps on top of the car again. Sam brakes, but it doesn't do much. Winter's arm drops in and grabs the steering wheel. He rips it off entirely.

"SHIT!" Sam shouts. Tash start firing at the roof, and Winter jumps onto the other car. WE have no control of the car. It bounce side to side. They hit the back of the car again, making it spin out. I watch as Sam, Steve and Tash are able to get out. I hold Amira tight as we start to tumble in the car. My body hits every part, but Amira is safe in my arms. We stop and I am in the passenger side.

"MIKA! AMIRA!" I hear Steve and Tash scream. Then a grenade being fired, along with a large honk and something flipping. They start to shoot at us. I hold Amira close as I crawl out of the back seat. Sam sees me but we duck due to another bomb. The firing turns and I look to see Tash running on the other side of the road. She ducks behind Pontiac but Winter firs a grenade at her. She jumps off the bridge, but known her. She got there safely.

They turn around and wait. Then one shot is fired, and Winter turns towards us. His glasses broken. Then the shots fire even more. Amira was crying in my arms, my broken arm. Winter jumps down and I have to go after him. Sam comes over and helps us.

"I have to go help Natasha." I tell him. I look at my scared sister. "I have to go fight bad guys. Stay with Sammy okay?" Amira cries more but she nods in understanding. She takes Thor and puts him in my pocket.

"To protect you." She croaks. I kiss her head then run. I run past the bullets and I go to the explosions. It was hard to run, but I knew my injuries.

A broken arm, a few broken rips, a busted lip and a twisted ankle. Not too bad.

I had to keep going. Tash needed my help. Winter didn't know what he was doing. I then ran straight into Natasha. She pulled me with her and we ran.

"Get out of the way! Get out of the way!" She shouted to civilians. We ran then a shot was fired and she was down. He shot her. We sat against a car, looking for him. We hear a bang behind us and we look to see Winter about to fire.

Steve jumps in and stops him. Winter punches the shield, making a large ringing noise. He pushed it out of the way and Kicked Steve in the chest, sending them both back. Winter shot at Steve, but he hid behind his shield.
