Sam had to leave because visiting hours were over. They made an exception for me. They didn't want the public to see a killer next to Captain America. I stayed in my corner, not wanting to move. Steve just laid there, casually looking at me.

"Why don't you sit next to me? We can talk." Steve suggests. I shake my head.

"I don't want to hurt you more." I say quietly. His face softens, with pain and guilt. It wasn't his fault I was like this. I was created this way. He holds his hand out to me.

"Come on, I have faith in ya." He says with a small smile. I stare at it for awhile. My dried stained hand slowly reaches out. I hover over his hand. I begin to retract when he grabs it. I freeze at the soft touch. The kind touch. "See, you are okay."

"I..I.." I stutter. I was not sure what to do. Steve pulls me to the seat Sam was previously in. It was still warm from his body heat. I was a lot closer now.

"So, you remember the shield, what else?" Steve asked. He was trying not to push.

"Who Amira's Dad is, You stitching up my side and scolding me for not telling you sooner." Steve chuckles slightly.

"Yeah, you have always been stubborn." He tells me with a warm smile. I give him a weak one back.

"I remember Tyler and how you almost fainted when she glittered your shield with super glue." I tell him. He groans at the memory.

"It took the three of us four hours to get off." Steve says. "Then another hour to get all of it off Amira." WE both laugh at the picture.

"You know Amira then. Are you close?" I ask, wanting to hear more about her.

"The two have been living with me for months now. Amira to this day still calls me Mr. America." He chuckles. My head then begins  pound and I clutch it and close my eyes.

Me and Amira sat on the roof. She was playing with the Thor doll.

"Amira, do you like Thor more than Captain America?" I ask her.

"No, I love Captain America." She says as she holds Thor to fly.

"Then why have a Thor doll?" I ask her.

"Because I have the real Captain America at home. Steve is Captain America, I thought you knew that." She tells me. I chuckle.

"Why do you like Captain America?"

"He saves people and is really nice. He isn't like Mr. Stark. Mr. Stark can be mean. He so happy and good and LOVES my glitter projects." I roll my eyes on the glitter. I swear it is Herepies.

"Do you like living with Steve? I know we are kinda on the run right now, but do like it better than living with Tash?" She stops playing and looks up at me.

"Yeah. Steve plays with me and is home. We go to the park and he has been teaching me to read books!"

I open my eyes and breath heavy. Steve is in front of me with concerned eyes. He holds my shoulders, and help regulate my breathing.

"What was that? Are you okay?" He asks. His eyes staring at me, searching for anything.

"I..I had a memory." I breath out. "Amira was telling me, how she loved living with you. Going to the park and reading."

"That's good. I'm glad you are remembering." He says with a smile.

"Why do you do that?" I ask. He looks confused. "Smile all the time. The world is collapsing around us, but you still have a smile."
