Chapter 30

-one year later-
-lilly's P.O.V-

It's been a year sense Matthew and i have been married. I just got out of the doctors and I'm scared too tell Matthew about the news he doesn't even know i went today. I didn't see my regular doctor today because he wasn't in.
I pulled into the drive way of our house I'm in love with this house. I got out and walked up to the front door i unlocked it and walked in throwing my keys on the table and setting my phone down next to them.
I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge i grabbed a can of soda and opened it i walked back into the living room and turned the 90" flat screen on that Matthew wanted and went to Netflix i started to go through the movies waiting on Matt to get here he should be getting off in a couple hours.
My phone started ringing I picked it up and answered it.
"Baby girl?" Matthew asked from the other end.

"Yeah?" i asked back.

"I gotta stay late tonight, I'll be home around ten barley latest"
I rolled my eyes and sighed before saying. "Okay i guess I'll see you then" and hung up.
Ever sense he took over his dad's business he's been comeing home late but when he worked for Cameron he would either come home early or on time.
I wasn't liking it at all.
It rings again and i answered it.
"What?"
"Why the fuck did you hang up?" he ask's a little pissed off.
"Sorry my phone died i had to put it on the charger" i lied.
"Are you mad at me?" he asks his mood changing.
"Whats there to be mad about?" i ask.
"Because i have to work late"
"Matthew this isn't the first time" i said. "My moms calling i gotta go" i lied.
"Okay" he said carrying out the 'o'. "I love you baby girl"
"I love you to" i said and hung up.
I was halfway through my movie when the doorbell rung. I huffed and got up to answer it. "Yeah?" i asked as i opened the front door.
"Aunt Lilly" Ruth screamed causing me to look down at her. I picked her up and let Jillian in.
"Where're you guys doing here?" i asked letting Ruth have a drink of my soda. "Well it got lonly at the house so i decided to stop by to see if you were home also because Ruth said she wanted to see you. And with Jack and Johnson on tour i get bored" she said i just nod thinking the same about Matthew. It does get pretty lonely here by myself.
"So how has little man been doing?"
"He's been crawling now and oh my god Lilly he keeps me up late i barley get any sleep."
"Why don't you let me watch them both tonight i mean there's plenty of room and i wont be lonely while Matthews at work and that will give you a break and time to sleep."
"I don't want you to have a lot of stress on you" she said i smiled at the thought of her caring like always. "Jillian I'm fine i haven't really spent time with Ruth in awhile anyway" i said surely.
"Okay"
After a couple more hours of hanging out and Jillian running to her house to pick up some extra cloths for Alex and Ruth she left and i was alone with them. I looked at the time to see it was already eight. "Bed time now" I said Ruth was four now so she kinda listened better to me.

"Ten more minutes?" She pleaded.I shook my head no. "Seven more minutes"
"Nope" I said popping the 'p'. "Five more minutes" She said pleading more. "Fine but then it's off to bed okay i need to put your brother to bed i'll be down in just a moment" She nods and i walk upstairs into Ruth's room that had his crib in there as well just so that i can get to him faster.
I changed him and put his Onesie on that said 'Ladies i have arrived.' I sat down and rocked him to sleep, after a couple minutes he was out. i stood and walked over to his crib and laid him down i smiled and covered him up, when i walked down stairs Ruth was already asleep.

I lifted her up and carried her to her bed i laid her down and put her blanket over her. "I love you aunt Lilly"

I laid beside her and played with her hair. "I love you to baby, go to sleep" I said she laid her head on my chest and put her thumb in her mouth. I kissed her head and tried to stay awake.

-11:23 pm-

"Baby girl come to bed" I heard Matthew say, i opened my eyes and looked over at him i didn't really wanna move, he was bent in front of me. "I guess i fell asleep" I yawned. i was going to tell Matthew about what happened but i was to tired to talk.

I felt him lift me up and carry me to our bedroom. he laid me on the bed and walked into the bathroom the door closed making it dark. Did i forget to mention i was scared of the dark.
I stood up and walked into the bathroom. "What?" Matthew asked opening the curtain only for me to see his face and shoulders. "It was dark" i mumbled.

"Lilly nothing's gonna get you" he said shutting the curtain. I rolled my eyes and sat on the toliet seat wrapping my arms around my knees and laying my head on my knees.

"Will you wash my hair baby girl?" he asked i sighed and stood up i grabbed the shampoo and he bent down so i could reach him. I was massaging his scalp when he kissed my lips twice i smiled and finished with the shampoo telling him to wash it out.

I did the same with the conditioner, i sat back down after washing my hands off and drying them off on his towel. "I need a towel" he said shutting the water off. I handed it to him, he stepped out and i dried his hair off.

I heard Ruth crying and went to walk out but it was dark. "Matthew" i whined. "Hum?" he replied.
"It's dark and Ruth is crying come with me please" i pleaded hoping he wouldn't get upset but then again he never has when i get scared.

"Come on" he said sliding his boxers on and picking me up i wrapped my legs around him and laid my head on his shoulder. He opened the door and i got down after he turned the lamp on.

"Scary" Ruth whined looking at me. "Shit, come here" i said and laid down next to her she wrapped around me i pulled her closer so she would sleep.

After she fell asleep i checked on Alex and Matthew carried me back to the room. "Thank you" i said when he laid down beside me.

"For?"

"For not getting upset when i asked you to come with me" i whispered.

"Hey look at me, i'm never gonna get mad at you for being scared and wanting me to keep you safe baby girl" he said and collided our lips together.

We pulled away. He shut the lamp off next to him. I rolled over facing the wall his arm wrapped around me and he pulled me back to him. He tangled our hand together and i started to fall back to sleep.
