"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Nakisha yells as she walks through the front door I smile and stand up hugging her and Jack they are newly wedded now. "Johnson, Jillian, Taylor, Veronica Nash and Cameron, and Jasmine are in the dining room with Ruth, Landon and Alex" I smile lightly. Jack nods and walks into the dining room but Nakisha does the opposite by pulling me into the kitchen. "Where's Matthew?" She asks.
"Work" I mumble before looking back at her. "What? why? It's Christmas Lilly." She frowns I nod at her. "I know he just had to go in today." I said.
"So he says"
"He's not cheating, I hope not." I say whispering the last part so she could hear me. She nods before Jack calls her into the dining room, the doorbell rings and I walk to answer it. I open it to see my mom and dad along with Matthew's mom and dad. "Matt here?" His dad asks. "Not yet." I say, as he nods. They walk into the dining room with everyone else.
More of our family started showing up and by six o'clock the house was full of guests I smile but it wasn't a perfect Christmas without Matthew. I sat down on the sofa in the living room. "Lilly you coming?" My mom asks I nod asking her for a moment she nods before walking back into the dining room. My phone started ringing and I immediately stood up to answer it.
"Hello?" I ask leaning against the door frame of the dining room and watching everyone laughing and having a good time.
"Baby girl I'm on my way I swear I'm almost there" He said I smiled.
"I'll be here waiting" I said before hanging up after hearing him say 'I love you'.
"Are we gonna open presents or what?" Laura asks.
"He's on his way now I don't mind if you wanna do it now I just wanna wait on him" I said they nod. "Then we're gonna wait too," Jillian said smacking Nakisha's hand away from the tree I smile before walking over to the door, I had Landon as I walked outside and sat on the porch swing waiting to see his car pull up. I was swinging back and forth while talking to Landon.
He pulled up jumping out of the car and running up the steps of the porch I smile as he walks up to me. He leans down in front of me. "Merry Christmas baby girl," He said before letting his lips fall against mine. I smile once we pull away he peaks my lips once more before picking Landon up out of my arms.
"Merry Christmas little man," He says kissing his forehead I smile before he helps me up and we walk into the house. "Where is everyone?"
"Dining room" I smile.
He nods and pulls me with him, everyone looks at us and we sit down with Landon on Matt's lap and his arm around me. "Okay, this one goes to Landon!" Nakisha said handing it to me I put it beside Matthew before making everyone back away from the tree but me Nakisha, and Jillian so we can pass out presents to all the little kids.
"Ruth here put this beside you sweetie," I said handing her one of her's. She nods and pu'st it next to her grinning the whole time. After we finally got everyone's gifts to them I sat down. "Okay, daddy help your son open his gifts!" I said rubbing my hands together as my mom started to record it. He helps Landon open one while Landon just stares at him with his pacifier in his mouth.
"Now it's mommy's turn to help you" he said handing me one I smile and look at him then down to Landon. We finish opening them and we're now making everyone's plate's. "Come on y'all time to eat now" I said but none of the kids listened they just continued playing with their toys. "GET YOU'RE ASS'S IN HERE NOW!" Matt yells from the kitchen they stand and run into the kitchen and out the back door. "YOU TOO LILLY!" he yells I smile before turning to follow the kids out. "I'M COMING!" I yell when I get into the kitchen.
