"Are you sure we're not gonna get caught?" Drew asked, talking into his headset as they walked down the sidewalk.
"Of course not! You guys have the thermo tracker scrambler and security scanners to make sure you guys don't..."
"I'm talking about Aunt Isabel. You sure she's not gonna notice?"
"Oh! I doubt she's gonna notice. Since you guys were able to fix my hologram scanner,
I was able to make perfect replicas of you guys in the house. You're fine."
"Alright..." Drew said in discomfort.
Mavis and Drew walked towards a huge dark building with fencing all around it. Nice green lawn and empty parking lots surrounded the building behind the fences. At the front of the gates was the sign W.A.T.T. HEADQUARTERS. Drew started to worry as they walked closer, his heart beginning to race. He started to regret the decision of trying to rescue their parents as he saw two men in black suits guarding the front.
"Mavis, I don't think we should go on anymore..."
"Drew, seriously?" She stopped and turned to him.
"I don't think we can do this anymore..." He sighed. "It seems impossible..."
"Drew. We have to try." She said confidently.
She reached out her hand and held Drew's hand.
"Come on, follow my lead." She smiled as she dragged him towards the front. One security guards looked at the two little kids coming towards him.
"Excuse me, you two. You're not allowed to be on this property."
"Hi Mister!" Mavis said in her high, innocent voice. "Is this the W.A.T.T. building?"
"Yes it is, where are your parents...?"
"They're inside." She smiled and turned to Drew, who was hiding behind her. She turned to look at him, afraid of what she was doing.
"He's always wanted to go inside the W.A.T.T. headquarters, but Daddy wouldn't let him go inside. I, on the other hand, was able to get inside with him once and I wanted to show my brother what it was like inside." She explained.
"Well, I don't know..." the agent said unconfidently.
"My brother's always had a fascination with you guys, he's really nervous with what you guys do."
The agent turned to the other agent and looked at each other.
"You two stay here, I'm going to check the check-in sheet and appointment roster for your father okay?" The agent said as he walked towards the front desk. Mavis and Drew nodded, sitting down at the waiting area. As he walked to the front desk to talk to the check-in clerk, Mavis heard a little static coming from her earpiece.
"Regine, go."
"There's a hallway to your right, a ventilation duct right next to the bathroom doors all the way down to your left. I'm jamming the computer systems right now, so make it quick."
"Got it."
She motioned Drew to grab his backpack as they looked over and saw the two agents confused as they tried to figure out the problem with the computer. Quietly, they walked towards the bathrooms, other agents passing by. Surprisingly, the agents didn't seem to recognize the two kids walking around in a highly secured building. They turned to the bathroom, a vent on the boy's bathroom side. They looked around the corner, making sure no agents were around when they go into the vents.
Once the last agent went out of sight, Drew took out a drill and quietly unscrewed the vent cover out. As the last screw came out, the vent cover came out, leading into a small dark passageway into the bowels of the building. Mavis brought out her flashlight and went inside, Drew closing the vent behind him.
