The Delorean crashed through the wired gates as Justin and Mavis headed down main street towards Downtown Los Angeles, the entire police force roaring not far behind them. The city lights glimmered into the clear night sky, the moon showing only a slight smile on its face as the blaring sirens and lights penetrated the serenity.

"Dad! They're right behind us!" Mavis looked back and saw the chaos behind them. Justin turned on the radio and started twisting the radio knob. The stations crackled and fizzed with each frequency until the police station shouted frantic alerts and codes.

"Mavis" Justin said calmly, "Pay attention to where they might put road blocks or spike strips, okay?"

"Okay Dad."

From the sound of his voice, Mavis was able to calm down. Her heart finally stopped pounding against her chest, but her back continued to shiver as they drove rapidly around a corner. She let out a big sigh as she held on to anything she could secure herself to.

"What's the matter?" Justin laughed. "Still scared?"

"Well, I mean..." Mavis responded "We almost didn't make it out..."

"You know what's even more scary?" Justin smirked.
"What?"

"Your mom when she gets mad."

They both laughed hysterically, momentarily forgetting about what was going on around them. Their moment was interrupted by a transmission in their earpieces.

"Justin! Mavis! Are you guys okay?!"

"Mom!" Mavis cheered. "We're okay! We got out safely!"

"Oh my god..." Elaine started tearing up, noticeable with her cracking voice. "I was so worried you guys were hurt..."

"Don't worry sweetheart" Justin smiled. "We'll see you soon."

"Good." She said calmly. What's your location?"

"We're going down Junipero towards Jackson." Justin said as they drifted around another corner. "Give me directions, love."

"Got your coordinates." Elaine responded. "You're going to make a right on Riverside Street in three blocks, then an immediate left on Mission Road."

Justin floored the gas pedal as they sped down Junipero. The cops behind them began to disappear behind them, their headlights dimming in the rearview mirror. Mavis was just about to relax when she noticed in front of her two cars headed straight towards them.

"Dad?!?!" Mavis yelled, noticing the cars getting closer and closer.

"I got it, babygirl!" Justin said confidently as he immediately drifted into a dark alley.

"Elaine, come in." Justin reported. "We had to make a detour, we had two cars directed towards us."

"Okay..." Elaine said, typing on the computer for alternate routes.

The calm streets were interrupted by the high-speed chase as people were frightened by the chaos that travelled throughout the streets. Many of those on the streets took out their phones and started recording the spectacle. Police helicopters shined lights on the streets, trying to trace the path of the Delorean. News helicopters joined shortly after, the attention activity spiking everywhere. As people started hearing about the news, many started to notice the Delorean replica from the movie, commenting Mcfly's Getting Caught for Speeding and Doc Brown Stealing Plutonium Once Again!

"Hey Dad, look." Mavis smiled. "We're all over the news."

"Really?" Justin said, interested.

"They're saying that Marty Mcfly's at it again." she chuckled.

"Wow, looks like disappearing is going to be harder than I thought..." He sighed.

"Yeah, it's too bad we couldn't travel through time like they did in the movie. We would just disappear from everyone..."

All of a sudden, an idea popped into his mind.

"Bridgitte. Audrey. Where are you guys?"

"We're making our way to the intersection four blocks from your location. The van is going to the rendezvous point as we speak." Bridgitte responded back, the high-pitched sound of their superbikes in the background.

"Do you guys still have the smoke bombs?" Justin asked.

"Audrey has all of them, why?"

"I need for you to drop all of them at the Colorado/Vader intersection."

"All of them?!" She gasped. "Why would you want to do that!?"

"Hey, if you want to please the audience, you better do it."

Justin started flicking knobs and switches inside as he increased the speed. The Back to

the Future theme song began to play as he flicked on other switches that lit up the car.

"Dad, what are you doing...?" Mavis asked.

"You gave me an idea for how to escape, just watch your live feed on your phone and watch the magic."

Down the road a couple blocks, he saw a large police blockade building their fortress for their arrival. He smiled as two motorcycles zoomed in front of them, dropping a bag in front of the blockade.

"Dad, there's a blockade... and you're speeding up!" Mavis panicked.

"Trust me, it's going to work." He reassured her.

I hope...

He flicked on a switch that turned on the blue neon lights that wrapped around the exterior of the car. Everyone cheered as the car speed faster and faster.

"Daaaaad..." Mavis worried.

"Come on... Detonate..." Justin said under his breath.

The blockade finished building a barrier that blocked the entire walkway. W.A.T.T. squads and police reinforcements took cover behind their cars and the blockade, waiting to get in range. The police helicopter continued to follow the car with the bright light, with the many cops following behind.

All of a sudden, a huge explosion of a grey cloud detonated in front of the blockade, completely covering the entire intersection. The cloud explosion was so intense, the cloud engulfed the Delorean into the nothingness. All the L.A.P.D. behind them immediately stopped as the cloud barely got to them. The helicopter lost a visual of the car as it increased altitude to avoid the smoke. The barricade that formed right in front of the explosion couldn't be found, hidden underneath the bellowing smoke.

The crowds that blocked the sidewalks went into a roar as the famous time machine seemingly travelled into uncertainty. News reporters at the scene began to report and speculate about the disappearing time machine. Police officers and W.A.T.T. teams came out of their vehicles and tried tressling through the cloud of smoke. Eventually, they reached a couple hard surfaces that they debunked as the remains of the intersection-wide barricade that was supposed to prevent the Delorean from breaking through. However, no signs of the vehicle passed through.

The mystery of the time travelling car continued to spread throughout the entire city as the smoke lifted, leaving only a skid trail of the tires that came from the car.
