"Dad, are we safe?"
"Just stay low, okay? They're too caught up in their imagination that the car really did time travel."
The car slowly crawled away from the rising cloud of grey as the low rumbling of the engine dissipated into the darkness. After carefully trailing far enough from the chaos, Justin turned on the headlights and quietly rolled away into the suburbs. Mavis let out a huge sigh in relief as they travelled towards the rendezvous point.
The street lights gave a dim yellow glow as the Delorean travelled down the empty streets as they entered an open gate that lead down to a water irrigation system. The busy highway above didn't care to be bothered by the secret activity lurking below. A group of people were standing besides two super bikes and a van. Justin slowly rolled up to them and killed the engine, getting out of the car. Mavis followed afterwards, not realizing the dark figure in the shadows.
"Oh my god! I'm so glad you're safe!" Elaine jumped into Justin's arms, holding him as tightly as she can.
"Mom?!" Mavis began to cry, tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks. She ran into her mom's leg, grasping it for her life.
"Oh Mavis! Thank god you're safe too!" She picked up Mavis and hugged her tightly.
"Dad!" Drew yelled as he ran into Justin's hands too, catching him and spinning him around.
"Great job, everyone." Isabel said with a smile. "This mission was a complete success!"
"That was a really great idea, Justin!" Audrey smiled in amazement. "Using the smoke bombs as a cover-up was a really smart idea!"
"Yeah." Bridgitte held up her phone, showing the updating feed on Facebook. "You made the Highlight of the Year for the best magic trick!"
"Alright!" Mavis and Justin cheered and high-fived one another.
A notification sound came from someone's phone. Isabel reached into her pocket and read the message, nodding in approval.
"I have my friend, Edmund coming with the semi-truck that has the covered vehicle transport trailer. He should be here in about a couple minutes."
Just then, blinding lights from every direction surrounded them, completely catching them off guard. W.A.T.T. teams and L.A.P.D. shouted with terror as they blocked every single escape point. Red and blue lights lit up the dark irrigation system as they announced the capture of seven wanted criminals of the OWCA.
"Damn." Justin muttered under his breath as officers came in and forcefully arrested all of them. They dragged everyone into different W.A.T.T. vans and closed the caged doors. Justin looked up and saw Elaine in front of him, her face covered in disappointment. Just as he was about to say something, a W.A.T.T. agent injected a serum and slowly his vision went dark. His mind drifted into an unconscious mode as the sound of the van dissipated.
His vision finally came back, a blur for a good few seconds before he was able to regain complete sight of his surroundings. He found himself getting up from the ground in a small barred prison cell. Beside him were three other jail cells brightly lit from an indoor spotlight: one with Elaine, another with Drew and Mavis, and the last with Isabel, Audrey and Bridgitte.
"He's awake!" Mavis called out to everyone, who were waiting for his awakening.
"Justin! Are you okay?!" Elaine called out across from her cell.
"Yeah, they injected me with anesthesia." Justin scoffed, gripping his arm from where he was injected. He looked over to his right to see Mavis and Drew's faces in fear, relieved that their dad was back.
A slow, fearing clap began to echo through the room, complimented by a low, eerie laugh. Footsteps came closer to their location as the clapping stopped, black suede shoes penetrating the spotlight on the ground. Justin felt a slight chill down his spine and a familiar spooky feeling as his presence entered the room.
"Release Cell Block 8. They're free to go." A soft, yet menacing tone came from the man standing. A loud clunking noise whirred alive a machine that slowly opened up Isabel, Bridgitte and Audrey's cell. They slowly walked out and oddly had smiles on their faces.
"Finally!" Bridgitte huffed out in grief. "Took you guys long enough to get to us!"
"I know, right?" Audrey agreed. "This is why you need to clone us than that stupid, old drifter dude."
Elaine and Justin looked at the three of them completely confused.
"Wait, what?"
"Now now, girls. Remember that he was the one who helped you get out of poverty and execution. You have proven to him well enough to still be accepted here at W.A.T.T. Just think where you would be without him?"
The mysterious figure came out into the light as he spoke: He was a very slim and tall man with pale skin. He work a really sleek black suit with a black tie that complimented his dark, omniscious glasses. He walked right between the twins and stopped straight in front of Isabel, staring her through his reflective black lenses.
"Keep them in check, Isabel. They almost made us go over budget with the chase scene with that stunt they pulled." He snarled.
"It won't happen again. I'm sure of it, sir." Isabel said fearfully.
"Wait hold on!" Justin yelled at them. "What's going on?!"
The mysterious man smiled, "Isabel, care to explain?"
Isabel turned to look at Justin and sighed.
"I'm sorry, but I had to. Ever since we were kids, you always were coming home late. I always waited for you to come home, wondering if we were going to do something fun or one day take me to your adventures. But no. You come home exhausted, not wanting to talk to me. Sure you helped me sleep a couple times, but you never made time for me. Especially when you made that stupid time machine of yours. Constantly talking about it, never stopped thinking about it. I finally caved in: When you left, I left to find something I could be useful for. OWCA brought me in and trained me to be the best agent there is, alongside Bridgitte and Audrey."
"Oh no..." Elaine said, completely surprised by Isabel's revealing backstory.
"Isabel..." Justin, broken and shattered.
"Don't." Isabel shook, swallowing her building tears. "It's already too late."
"It's okay, Isabel. Go with Agent B and A to the Cafeteria Hall. I'll take it from here." He ushered everyone outside as they exited through a rotating door that opened for them. As they exited out into the hallway, the man bent down and looked into the cage where Mavis and Drew slowly back away towards the wall.
"Such cute children." He grinned. "Never thought that I'd see the day when you would have kids."
"Get away from them!" Justin yelled at him, trying to move him away from them.
"Who are you?! Why are you doing this to us?!" Elaine shouted at him, calling him to her location.
He slowly turned and walked towards her, taking off his glasses.
"Have you really forgotten you had a younger sibling all this time, Sis?"
Justin's eyes widened as the realization settled into his mind, Elaine finally understanding who he was.
