Entry 11:Sojourn

"Corinne bilisan mo ayokong maiwan sa field trip natin!"

I snorted at her sentence. For sure nagmamadali siya kasi ayaw niyang maiwan dahil kapag nagkataon walang monthsary na mangyayari sa kanila ng boyfriend niya. Maghihiwalay din kayo. I know its kinda bitter but thats how I view things. Always temporary. My parents are a living proof to that.

Ba't ba compulsory ang activity na 'to? I'd rather stay home to take care of grandma and read books than attending this trip. Thinking of her saddens me. She's dying but she's happy because finally she can be with grandpa. Balang araw mag-iisa na lang ako, all alone. I wish we were immortals, living forever. But then reality hits you that nothing in this world lasts. I don't wanna stay in this cruel world anyway.

"Oh nandito na si Corinne, himala kasama niya yung bestfriend niya hindi na siya forever alone."

Tss. Jerk.

"Stop bullying her Yuhan." Mandy said

FYI she's not my bestfriend. Just a friend for a reason. A temporary friend. Kaya siya clingy sa'kin dahil ako lang ang kasama niya pauwi because we're neighbors. Takot siyang umuwi mag-isa. She's not true, not real. She's only good to me when she needs something from me.

"Class go in groups h'wag kayo humiwalay sa mga kagrupo niyo. This museum is big and please don't be careless." I didn't know museum pala yung pupuntahan namin, 'di pala boring ang trip na 'to.

My classmates grouped their selves according to friends. So san ba ako sasama? Siguro sa grupo na lang ni Mandy. Sunod lang ako nang sunod like a shadow, while they're busy taking pictures. I had a feeling that I have to pee so I didn't bother telling them at humiwalay ako sa kanila.

San ba yung restrooms nila? Bakit walang signage dito, kanina lang meron ah. Wait something's not right. Nasaan sila Mandy? Kanina lang ang lapit ko sa kanila and where the hell am I? Creepy. Hindi ako dumaan dito kanina. I took a step backward at nawalan ako ng balance, I stepped into something. Ang sakit ng pwet ko.

Tumayo ako at tumingin sa paligid ko. I swear I don't remember anything na dumaan ako dito. Nakakapagtaka rin kasi walang mga tao, this is a museum so I'm sure maraming mamamasyal dito. Hindi pa naman closing time since maaga pa. I wandered around to where I am right know and stopped as an unusual sight caught my attention. It was a prodigious rocky antre. It was weird and enigmatic.

Bakit may ganito dito sa museum? Ang strange niya. I couldn't control my curiousity so I went in. It was dark inside, habang lakad ako nang lakad may nasilaw ako na purple light. Sinundan ko ito pero pagdating ko may malaking bato na nakaharang, pero may sculpted words akong napansin.

Huh? Wait. I spoke the words which I think it is. Enter and you shall never return. Suddenly it opened. Woah lucky guess. Pumasok ako pero madilim. Biglang may asul na ilaw, hugis bilog ito na lumutaw sa harap ko, parang tinuturo nito ang direksyon kaya sinundan ko. In no time natagpuan ko na lang ang sarili ko na nasa gubat. Anong lugar kaya ito?

"Out of the way!!!" a girl was running towards me so I stepped out of the way.

May hawak siya. A sword. May kaaway siya pero hindi yun tao. It was part human and part... goat? This is no ordinary world. I'm in the world of the unknown.

"Hey kid what are you doing here? No trainings for this day?" said the uhm goat err human.

"Yeah." pagpapanggap ko, baka ano pang gawin nila sa'kin sa oras na malaman nila na 'di ako tagarito.
