"You never take me with you to these things!" Nickel whines as I park my car in the driveway.
"That's because I don't want them to corrupt innocent little you." I get out of the car and Nickel follows.
"Like they could corrupt this!" Nickel gesturs up and down her body.
"Like I said, corruption will take place." I shake my head and laugh because she's still looking at her body.
"And you know the only reason I do this is...." I trail off.
"Because you have the name so you might as well use it I KNOW!" Nickel pounces on my bed and cuddles with Timer the turtle; my favorite stuffed animal."
"Yes and to bring down Monster duh! Plus the parties have their benefits..." I trail off trying to count how many cute guys I have seen at these parties. Too many! Yes I admit every single one of them are attractive but their personalities were shi....crap...
"I can get top secret information about his company this way Nickel!"
"Oh I'm sure, it's also such a bother to mingle with the rich." She scoffs and I grab Timer from her.
"You don't understand how terrible these people are! They make a big deal out of nothing. One time I saw someone get fired just because he looked at someone wrong."
"Yeah but still. I don't understand how you haven't gotten kicked out considering..."
"My charming personality? People love me. You know I'm willing to do anything to take down The Monster even acting."
"Stop calling him that; he's your dad!"
"No he's just some guy who helped make me!" I argue.
"You're so immature."
"Apparently not, who's going to the Valley Hills Party again?"
"Just because he is a totally jerk doesn't mean he's not family!"
"Nickel, I know you lost your dad and everything and I'm still sorry you had to go through something so terrible...but I wouldn't regret anything if Monster had an "accident".
"Yes you would! I didn't think I would care but I did, Rin!"
Nickel lost her dad in a car accident two years before we met and she never had a strong relationship with him. After he died, she was filled with so much guilt and fell into a deep depression. I don't think I would ever feel anything if my dad, I mean Monster, died. I couldn't help her back then because I didn't know her. Now we're seniors in high school that are completely inseparable. I set Timer back on my bed lovingly, and stare at Nickel. Her black hair is going every which way because it's always a rats nest. I grab a brush from my dresser and approach my giggling friend.
"You always do this." Nickel grins as I brush through her straight thick hair. "Whenever you feel bad you try to pamper me!" She's jist happy knowing I feel guilty.
"I'm sorry Nickel, I know I shouldn't "joke" about death." But I'm joking. Monster is indeed just that maybe even worse. Nickel just doesn't understand how much I suffer because of him. I will get my revenge if not by taking over his company by force I will..."Order someone to do it!" I exclaim acidentally ripping some of Nickel's hair out through a tangle.
"Order someone to do what?" Nickel asks, confused by my random outburst.
"Order someone to...bring us pizza?"
"Good idea Rin; I'm starving."
Only if Nickel knew what I had really meant that day maybe everything would be different. Probably not, considering I might count as a physiopath. Just kidding, I might not be THAT crazy but I'm just as determined as one.
"You can never escape from me Trinity! No matter where you are or what you're doing; in a second I can control you! Afterall money is everything sweety, just remember this so you don't do anything stupid! Goodnight honey." The door closed leaving me alone.
"Goodnight....Monster...." I whispered hiding under my covers, "You haven't won this battle yet! I still have my boys"
