"Help him and I shoot." A familiar voice fills my ears.
"Brand?" My eyes grow wide as I pull my gaze away from Monster to my own brother.
"I remember you." He presses the gun harder into my head. "You're Tess Shay."
"No Brand please listen!" I hold my hands up. "I'm not I'm just pretending to be."
"You people make me sick. You always lie your way out of situations and I'm fed up with it!" I now notice that he's crying.
"Who else has ever called you Brand huh?" I spout. "Your sis right? Although, I can't blame you if you don't remember. That was a really long time ago."
"My sister?" He sniffles.
I now realize when I saw him at the party he didn't want anything to do with his sister. He was glad she was gone. I don't care anymore though. If Brand wants to end my life right now he can. I've got nothing left that I can give him and it doesn't look like Monster's in any condition to offer me the thing I came for. Revenge.
"Don't shoot me while I do this." I mumble as I carefully rip the blue black wig off my head letting my brown hair fall. "Don't tell me you don't recognize me?"
"Oh my gosh!" He gags. "I hit on my own sister!" He's disgusted by this revelation. This wasn't the reaction I was expecting.
"My thoughts exactly." I grin. I haven't had a normal conversation with him in so long.
"And I touched you ALL OVER!" He spouts dramatically. "This moment will forever haunt me." He jokes and to my surprise he pulls me into a hug. He squeezes me like if he let's go I'll dissappear.
"I didn't know!" He breathes heavily in my ear. "I'm sorry but I didn't know!" I hug him back trying to sort through all the thoughts and emotions running rampant inside me and him as well. He switched topics too quickly for me to understand what he's talking about. My eyes return to the man dying on the floor. He's so longer gasping for air. His eyes don't have life in them anymore. This didn't just happen, did it?
"What happened Brand?" I pull him away so I can look into his red irritated eyes.
"I found out two weeks ago." His whole body trembles.
"Found what out, Brand? You're scaring me."
"Mom isn't dead."
