"No!" Adric screams so loud that I get an impulse to cover my ears, although I don't. "I did this! It's all my fault!" Tears roll down his face.

"It's not-" I begin but he cuts me off.

"Don't even!" He yells and I back away a bit. "It's my fault and you know it. Even he blames me!"

I wrap my arms around him and burry my face in his neck. "I'm sorry." When he doesn't answer I continue. "Adric, we need to go. People will be coming."

"I don't care, let them come." His voice sounds weaker and more vulnerable then I've ever heard it.

I hold his face in my hands and force him to look in my eyes. "Adric, Please listen to me. We need to get out of here. We can mourn him later but now we need to go." I choke on my words. "We haven't gone through all this just to give up."

He drops my gaze and more tears continue to roll down his cheeks. "Why him?" His voice is shaking and nearly undecipherable. "Why couldn't it happen to me instead?"

"I hear something." Chip interrupts. "Grab my hand." Chip extends his and to me and I make sure to keep holding onto Adric.

"I know you're here." Instantly I can tell it's Lucifer. "Did you see what I did to your brother? Well, I can't take all the credit, he did most of it himself. It's crazy the things that kid could do when he thought spiders were crawling out of his skin."

I can feel Adric tense up and start to stand up. Adric no! When he doesn't listen I grab his face and bring his lips to mine. I try to tell myself it is just to keep us hidden and distract him but deep down I know that I just really, really want to kiss him. I feel as light as a feather and slightly lightheaded but in a good way. In this moment I feel like I could concur the world and I have the strength of a million soldiers. If this is what love feels like then I've never felt it until now. Without thinking, I let Chips hand go and place it on the back of Adric's neck.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything but..." Lucifer says then I feel a rough kick to the head that sends me flying from Adric's arms and snaps me back into reality.

My head hits the ground hard and just by the sound I can tell that there is going to be a lot of blood. I try to push myself up but as soon as I almost get to my knees Lucifer steps on my back to keep me down. I shriek in pain and that earns me another painful kick in the head.  I slip in and out of consciousness but I force myself to stay alert. "Lucifer, please..." I beg.

"Oh shut up." He crouches down beside me and turns my head to face him. "The more you talk now the worse you'll have it later."

I try to get away but he grabs my foot and pulls me back to him. I would have gotten away if it weren't for the dizziness from my head.

"You just don't listen, do you?" He lifts me up and holds me tightly by both arms.

"I thought... we... I thought..." My ability to finish a sentence has faded and every second I get closer and closer to passing out.

"You thought what? You thought since I helped you once you were good with me?" He laughs. "Sorry babe, it doesn't work like that with me."

"Please... don't." I force the words out.

He leans my head back and kisses my neck. I try to fight him but I can't move, the only thing that is keeping me from collapsing is his firm grip on my arms. "You're mine." He whispers in my ear.

A slight whimper escapes my mouth as I realize how true that it. I can't fight him back, if Chip and Adric knew what to do they would have done it by now and no one else knows where we are. "Stop..."
