Chapter 1

Kate's POV
I was filing the last of the paper work when I started thinking about Castle. When I was done I was going to meet him at his place.

"You okay Beckett?" It was Esposito.

"yes, why?" I asked.

"You just seem stressed, is it castle again? If he is causing problems Kevin and I are more than willing to take care of him."

"no, Esposito I'm okay; why don't you go home, its late" I lied, truth be told all I could ever think about was castle. Ever since our public fights it made me want him more.

"You sure captain? I'll stay here of you need"

" Javi I'm fine go tell Ryan he can go home too, he should get back to Sara Grace"

"okay, if you say so, good night captain"

"night Javi" I reply

wow could they really see something was wrong? Maybe he though I was just being secretive about Dr. Livingstone or something like loksat. I wonder if they knew all along castle and I were together they just didn't say anything. Or maybe they we clueless.I signed the last of the paperwork, grabbed my coat, and left heading towards the morge to talk to Lanie.

Lanie jumped when she saw me sitting in the morge.

"Kate you scared me!" She yells.

"Lanie you are around dead bodies all day and I scared you?" I ask

"I don't expect the see the living after seven o' clock; what's up Kate?"

"I just haven't talked to you in a long while ago I decided to come talk to you before my date with Dr. Livingstone"

I really just wanted to talk to Lanie about how castle and I were still together but I knew I couldn't, it would be to risky.

"Kate, do you really expect me to believe this Livingstone crap?" She asks.

"What do you mean, Lanie?"

"The detectives up there might be clueless but I'm not, I see it in your eyes Kate, you and castle are back together and don't try to deny it, just like I knew you and castle were together with you first started dating, I can't tell you're together now"

"You knew I was with castle back then?" I'm shocked I thought no one knew.

"Sure thing, I just pretended I didn't and asked who the guy was, now are you going to deny being together now or are you going to fill me in?"

"Well actually when I came down here to talk I was thinking about telling you but I couldn't"

"So is this you admitting you're together or are you gonna pretend you're not?"

"Lanie, *wispers*yes we are still together"

"See I knew Svetlana and Livingstone were fake, seeing you two working together for 8 years, you would resolve a fight like this, you are strong, you fight for what you guys have"

"Well Lanie, we love what we have, well I have to go meet Livingstone now so I'll see you soon?"

"Ya sure, see you soon, bye Kate"

"Bye Lanie" I say sweetly

I grabbed my coat and caught a cab to the building next to castles, it was to risky to go right into his building I would have to go through the one next door, I went in and caught the elevator up, then I went into castles building by a not well known door and went up to the loft.
