Kate's POV
When Martha dropped me off I called Lanie and asked her to come over after her shift and yo bring any news and updates from our case. I had missed so much of this case I felt like I was behind everyone else.
Lanie showed up around 5:30.
"I hear you're not feeling well" she said.
"I'm fine,Lanie, just stressed"
"Doesn't sound like stress to me"
"Really Lanie, I'll be back at work tomorrow, did you bring the case information?"
"Yes I did,here" she said as she handed a folder to me.
"Thanks Lanie"
"Anything for you"
And then Lanie made sure I was comfortable and left.
I opened the manilla folder and looked at the files.
Miranda Billings:
25 years old
Murdered, dropped in pond at north bridge golf course.
No family
Boyfriend- James malda
Worked as a grocery store clerk
Danced with Amanda Grover, who taught to less fortunate for free
That was really all we had on the case.
I got up and for ready for bed. Then I climbed in bed and went to sleep.
