Kate's POV
I woke up at 7:00. I didn't feel so horrible. I would go to work today. I needed to for our case. I felt good anyways. I got dressed and headed to the precinct.
When I walked in the precinct Esposito looked up.
"Where have you been?" He asked
"I didn't feel well" I replied walking into my office
" you okay?" He asked following me
"Ya, I think something I ate upset my stomach, I feel fine now"
"Okay" he said leaving, I hated lying, especially to Javi. Well, I had to, to protect the people I love.
"How are we on the case?" I asked Ryan
"We have a possible suspect, uniforms are picking him up now, we talked to the boyfriend, she wasn't staying with him. So we don't know where she was staying yet. We have a possible location, the billsworth hotel on 18th and lex. Financials suggest she was barely making it by, working as a clerk at a grocery store for $12 and hour. They dont suggest anything about paying for rent or anything really. Lanie says she found patterned bruising across her feet and on her toes ." Ryan filled me in
"Thanks Ryan, check to see if she might have another account, I'm the meantime, talk to the store manager, see what you can find"
"Ya, sure"
I headed off to my off to my office to try and track her location the past week and why no one noticed she was gone.
