Kate's POV
I was waiting for the doctor quietly when he came in carrying a clipboard. After a series of tests including x-rays he was coming back with results. I was nervous, what if something was terribly wrong? He said "miss Katherine Beckett, you are 3 weeks pregnant"

Wow, that came as a shock. What did this mean for me? This would jeopardize the loksat case. If they knew I was close with anyone, they would find out. I couldn't tell castle not yet. Only Lanie could know. I had to find loksat before I became obvious.
"Do you have any questions miss Beckett?"
"Are you sure?" I ask, still in shock
"Yes, although most of the pain you are feeling is something reacting with your body. You ate something that is hurting your stomach, just take some time for it to flush through your system", he told me.
What did this mean for me?
I walked silently, thinking, out of the office, I got in my car and drove back to my apartment. Was this really happening? I had to call Lanie, She had to know.
"Lanie, when you get this please call me right back" I said into the phone. Lanie wasn't picking up. She must be busy. I was reading a book when Lanie called back.
"Kate, what is it? Is something wrong?" She asked with a worried tone in her voice.
"I'll tell you later, how about you come to my place in an hour when your shift ends?"
"okay, Kate, I'll be there. Is everything alright?"
"Everything is fine Lanie" I said
