Chapter 17

Kate's POV
I showed up at castles place and knocked on the door. He opened it. I walked in and took off my coat. I turned around and he was there. We kissed. I felt the touch of his soft lips on mine. It felt like we hadn't kissed in forever. We pulled apart.
"So what movie is it tonight?" He asked. We had decided to watch a movie because I had been so stressed lately and needed to relax.
"I dont know"
We walked over to the TV and we decided on The Phantom of the Opera because we both loved it and grew up with it. We put started the movie and popped some popcorn. At the end of the show we turned it off. Castle turned to me.
"Kate, are you okay?"
"Yes, why?"
"I don't know you've been so stressed lately, you've been acting strange too."
"What do you mean?"
"Well you didn't drink wine the other night. We always do, the kind that makes you feel...; you have been acting very cautious lately too. I've noticed"
I knew I couldn't go any longer without telling him.
"Look, castle there's something I need to tell you"
"You know you can tell me anything"
"Castle, I'm pregnant"
"How long have you known?"
"Since Monday"
"This is great news, how far along are you?"
"3 weeks. Listen, castle you have to keep this top secret. You can't tell anyone. If loksat's people find out I am close with anyone they will search and find out its you. The will hurt you."
"Can I at least tell my mother and Alexis?"
" Well... your mother already knows"
"What?"
"I came over here the other day after I had a break down. Your mother was here and I was crying. She already knew we were still together and that I was pregnant. She guessed it before I knew."
"What about Alexis?" You can tell her, just make sure she knows its top secret. Castle you can't even tell Ryan or Esposito."
" Yeah. I know I got it"
"Well, in have to get going now, goodnight castle"
"Goodnight, Beckett"
And with a long goodnight kiss I walked out the door.
