I woke up and looked at my watch. It was just afternoon . Martha was sitting across from me in the armchair. I smiled at her. Remembering how she knew castle and I were together.
"Well, I thought you'd never wake up"
"Hello Martha, I dont know why I've been out of it lately."
"You can stop pretending. I know"
"Know what?" I ask. Knowing full well what she meant.
"I know that you're pregnant. I felt just the same way when I was pregnant with Richard."
"How long have you known?" I ask.
"I had my suspicions, but I confirmed what I believed last night. I just Dont know why you have to make up excuses to Richard instead of just telling him." She said
"Because, the whole reason we're pretend I g to be separate is because this case I'm involved in. That's why"
"Oh, but why can't he know? He's bound to find out soon er or later."
"I know Martha, I just dont know how to tell him, or how he'll accept it." I just want to lay off for a bit."
"Okay, well your secret is safe with me but he knows something is up, he's a smart man"
"I know, thank you Martha for helping me, I feel better now. I woke up very late today and I started to panic. I Dont know why"
"I do, I got the same way pregnant with Richard, I felt awful, it will get better. Now we need to get you home so you can get some real rest. Do you need me to stop in and check on you once I a while?" She asked
"No I'll have Lanie from the morgue stop by"
"Okay, lets get you home."
