There Is Love

There we were standing in a park. The sun was gradually setting. I was leaning on the swing's side. Krysta was sitting on a swing gently swaying. Nick just met up with us.

Nick said, "Sup, guys."

I looked at them to see if there was any connection between them two. I saw nothing.

Nick looked at me and asked, "Is something wrong?"

I lied, "No."

He replied sternly, "You know I can tell when you are lying." Okay, that's one thing that makes me weak against him. It not only makes me feel vulnerable, but it makes me feel frustrated that I want to punch something.

I said to him with a smile, "Shut up, Nick. Why don't you kill yourself."

Nick scoffed, "Oh, come on. Why not wipe that fake smile of that stupid face of yours. You're with us." He understood my savage joke; he always did. (Don't try this at home)

I did just as he told me. I then asked, "Are you two together?"

They looked at each other as if to think hard. Nick answered, "I don't know. Maybe?"

Krysta just shrugged.

I asked with my eyebrows up, "Are you kidding me? How do you not know if you are together?"

Krysta pointed to Nick and yelled, "I blame him." She jumped from her swing and hid behind me.

Nick laughed, "Ah, come on!" He crept up towards me and wrapped his arms around Krysta and I.

I screamed, "The heck!? Get off of me! Too much contact! Too much!"

Krysta and Nick laughed at me as I struggled.

Krysta asked, "You will still like us if we go out, right?"

Nick chuckled, "Better answer before I give you a big slobbery kiss!"

I answered, "I don't mind! I don't mind at all! No slob!"

They got off of me, and Krysta got beside of Nick and wrapped her arm around his.

Nick asked, "Are you sure?"

I gave them the most genuine face as I possibly could. "I don't mind at all.

Nick seemed to frown a bit, but his expression became calm.

I looked away to Krysta and said, "I'm happy for you."

Nick started, "But-."

"Let's go to the mall!" I interrupted. "I'm itching for some samples!!!" I said as enthusiastic as I could without it sounding phony. I grabbed both of their hands and pulled them along.

We walked to the mall and went straight to the foodcourt. After eating up as many samples as possible (after being scolded 5 times), we bought ourselves an actual meal to share.

I watched as Nick and Krysta laughed and fought over the food. Eventually, Nick looked at me and asked, "Are you okay? You barely eating anything."

I shook my head saying, "I'm fine." I scoped up a spoonful of fried rice. Then I said, "You look great together." Then added with a sigh, "Gee! I'm so glad that confusion is over! I hate being confused!"

Nick tilted his head in confusion at my response. He didn't say anything. He just continued eating.

I said, "So Krysta, how was your day? Did the girls stop messing with you?"

Nick nearly choked on his food. He growled, "Did they?"

Krysta said, "It's fine." She gave me a certain look as if to say 'No here'.

I said, "I will not accept them hurting you." I didn't want my sweet, beautiful Krysta get hurt badly. She didn't deserve a thing they did to her.

Nick agreed with me, "I won't accept it either."

Krysta said leaning against Nick, "I'm fine because I have you two." She changed the subject and said, "How about we go to the arcade next?"

Nick and I stayed quiet for a bit, then agreed, "Sure."

We played until it was around 11, then we left to go home. I had my fun time, and I didn't want to ruin it by tearing them apart.
