I woke up on my Saturday morning. On my clock, it said it was 10 o'clock.

In the morning and afternoon hours, I usually help Mom and Dad with my five siblings until 6 o'clock. So today, I did the usual.

I said before walking out, "Bye! I'll be home by eleven-thirty!" I ran away from home to the park to meet up with Krysta and Nick.

Nick was here first this time.

I greeted with my innocent smile, "Hey, idiot."

He replied, "Hey, stereotypical dumb blond."

We glared at each other for five seconds, then we both busted out laughing.

I asked, "So how are you and Krysta getting together as boyfriend/girlfriend?"

Nick sighed. He didn't answer me. Instead, he asked, "How's jealousy trging you?"

I was tooken aback by his response. I turned away and said, "I don't understand what you mean. I'm happy for you."

Nick said, "I can tell by the way you look at her. You like her."

I scoffed, "I'm fine. Yes, she is a sweet girl, but whatevet she wants is fine. I can't have her get hurt because of me."

He said, "You already do well to protect her by manipulating those girls."

That's not what I meant.

He said repeating my thoughts, "That's not what you meant. You know I can read your eyes better than anyone."

I turned away and looked at my watch. It was over fifteen minutes since the time we are suppose to meet. I said, "Nick. Something's wrong."

He took out his phone and saw the time. He said, "I got a spam of messages from her."

I looked at his phone from beside him. It said a load of nonsense. 'I don't deserve you.' 'I'm ugly.' 'I hate you.' 'I'm rotten.'

He gasped at each text, "Why is she thinking these things."

I said, "She's not."

"Hunh?" Nick said confused.

I said with my heart beating through my chest, "It's those girls! Someone must've took her phone." I immediately started running towards the path to her home with Nick following me.

We ran until we found her. She looked a mess and out of it. She was walking slowly clutching her cellphone to her chest. Her clothes were dirty. She had bruises. When she looked up and saw us... she smiled.

We ran up to her and asked, "Are you okay?" We both wrapped our arms around her.

Krysta said quietly, "I love you guys."

Nick suggested, "Let's stop to my house and get you fixed up."

And so, we went to his house. He patched her up and let her get cleaned. He gave her some black jeans he grew out of and a long sleeve gray shirt.

Nick and I waited in the living room as she dressed. Then she came in and stood in front of us.

She looked just as pretty as she did in those clothes. The jeans looked a tad bit baggy, and she rolled up the sleeves to her elbows. She said, "Let's go hang somewhere."

I asked as I stood up from the couch, "Who did this to you?"

"Um." Was her only response.

I said with a hiss, "I swear to god I'll make them stop. Just tell me who."

Krysta said, "I rather not. I just want to stay invisible this weekend. Let's not talk about this and enjoy the weekend."

I said, "Okay. Just stay near us." I wrapped my arms around her in a hug. After I left go of her, Nick kisses her on her forehead making Krysta blush immensely.

I vowed to myself inwardly, I will make sure they will never hurt her for good. Well, I will enjoy the rest of the weelend and keep her safe.
