During the course of summer I started working for the summer camp at the elementary school in town. I couldn't wait to start college and get my bachelors in education. I already had my classes and even started reading the books.

You can call me whatever you want, but when you are passionate about something...stuff like homework and work are nothing. The more I learn the better.

It was Saturday night today and I was on a date with Dereck in a human community. He took me out to watch a movie and ice-cream.

"Thank God for ice-cream. I don't think I'll survive in this heat without it." I said while eating my Oreo ice-cream.

Dereck laughed and gave me some of his vanilla and peanut crumbs ice-cream.

"You want some of mine?" I asked handing him a spoonful of my ice-cream.

"Nope. Not really a fan of Oreos." He said.

"Blasphemy!" I said which he laughed. He still took a bite at the spoon.

"I thought you said you didn't like Oreos?"

"No. I said I wasn't a fan of Oreos. I'll eat them, but rarely." He said stealing another spoon.

"Still. Who doesn't like Oreos? I have never met anybody that doesn't like them."

"Well my baby brothers don't like them. They'll eat any type of cookies, but not Oreos." He said.

"Wow. So people like that do exist." I said giggling.

We staid quiet eating our ice-cream until Dereck suddenly stood up almost making me fall to the floor.

"Dereck what the-" Dereck shushed me, grabbed me by my waist and ran until we got to his truck."

"I'm sorry gorgeous. My parents were there. They told me they were going to go out, but I didn't think they would drive out to here. If I'm lucky they didn't catch my scent. Are you ok?" he asked checking me out.

"Yes. Just that the little bit of ice-cream I had is gone." I said fixing my clothes.

"Don't worry. I'll buy you more."

----------------------

Dereck took me back home and as I looked at the empty house I couldn't help and ask him, "Do you want to come in?"

He looked at me with wide eyes. He knew my parents were on a week vacation for their anniversary and I had the house all to myself. I knew what he was thinking. After I told him that we could mate he hasn't brought it up even though I know he is desperate.

"You sure? We don't have to do it now. I'll wait until you are ready." He said.

"I'm sure." I said kissing him.

I brought him up to my room, and once there everything got awkward.

"Umm...Well this is my room. That's my bed." I said pointing to it, but I sounded desperate so I pointed to the bathroom, "That's my bathroom. Oh that's were Flora and Kiwi sleep most of the time. As you saw they were downstairs. That's my all the pictures I took this senior year. That's my night table, and that's my-" I got cut off by Dereck's kiss.

"Don't be nervous." He said grabbing my face with both hands and looked at my eyes, "I'm here to take care of you. Not to hurt you. All you have to say is stop and I'll stop. Ok?"

I nodded yes and he kissed me again and laid me gently on the bed. His kisses and touches were gentle and with care, but it all stopped when he sat up, "I can't do it!"

"Oh thank God." I said sitting up too.

"I'm sorry Melody. All this time I've been waiting for this moment and now that we are here I can't. All that goes in my mind is all the words you said to me about waiting until marriage." He grabbed my hands and kissed them, "I'm sorry." He didn't even look at me and was even blushing.

I hugged him, "Thank you. I know is hard for you, but thank you for waiting. I love you."

"I love you too gorgeous. Now give me an eskimo kiss." He said laughing.

I laughed too, "You are such a kid sometimes." I said giving him his eskimo kiss.
